Summary
“Joker, you good?” Skull probes. He falls in next to their leader, brown eyes scanning Joker up and down from beneath his mask. “You took a crap ton of hits back there, maybe we should take a break or something.”
A curt head shake is Joker’s only response to Skull’s concerns. He takes a few steps as if to continue, then suddenly collapses, hitting the ground hard with only one arm out to break his fall. Noir barely has time to register her own panic, rushing towards him on pure instinct, his (real) name catching in her throat as she drops to her knees beside him.
On the ground, Joker shakes and shivers, arm curled around his middle still with his forehead pressed against the hard ground. His dark-coloured vest makes it impossible to tell, but when Noir reaches out to brush his side with her fingers, Joker immediately stiffens, letting out a hiss through clenches teeth. She flinches away with a muttered apology, but freezes before she can do anything more productive, gaze affixed her own gloved hand.

Jim looks down at the box Spock is holding. “What's in there?” he asks, wondering what could have happened to drive his stoic first officer to what looks like near-tears.
“Letters,” says Spock, and his voice is as soft as Jim has ever heard it. “Letters to James Tiberius Kirk.”
“Letters?” It takes Jim a moment to realise he means paper correspondence rather than alphabets, which is even stranger than Spock referring to him by name when he’s right there. “From whom?”
There is a long pause. “From Ambassador Spock.”Or
After Kirk's death in the prime timeline, the grieving Spock wrote a series of letters to him. After his death, those letters were discovered by his young counterpart.

My take on a 5+1 fic for Twilight Princess Zelink. Five rumors Link heard about Zelda that were wrong, and then the one that turned out to be true.

“I heard you needed a guard.”
“Oh.” She seemed… disappointed, somehow. Her brow was furrowed, her lips curled down at the edges. “Is that all?” Zelda’s voice was scarcely louder than a whisper.
“Well…” Link trailed off. How did he tell her about his worry for her? How the people in town spoke about her? How the castle gossiped? Whispering that she was unstable, a ruler with no footing, who didn’t even trust her own guard.
Zelda shook herself. “I apologize. My curiosity has the better of me.”
How did he tell her he welcomed it? That he wished to cross the ravine between them, but that would require a bridge he had yet to build. So he said nothing and told himself it wasn’t from a lack of courage.
“I am sure I could not ask for a better guard. Of course, you have the appointment.” She hesitated. “Is that truly all you wish, Link?”
