Summary
Maybe after all his time alone in space, Rocky was finally going insane. He was losing it, hallucinating. In a moment as sweet as this, his mind had conjured up a nightmare of tomorrow’s plan, of how it could go wrong.
Rocky shoved those horrid, horrible images to the back of his mind (that unfortunately couldn’t forget anything, ever), and focused on this moment, on Grace’s breath, his heartbeat, how cool his touch would likely be against Rocky’s burning carapace.
But try as he might, the vision just seemed so…so real.
Rocky keeps waking up the day before they go fishing for the astrophage predator on Adrian. Grace dies, and dies, and dies…and Rocky keeps trying to save him.

Summary
It wasn’t anything that Grace had never done before. Yet this time, Rocky felt all five of his hearts racing at its smile. Grace’s giggle was so similar to an Eridian’s. Rocky wanted to make it laugh again, to be the reason for its joy.
Such thoughts had barely begun when there was suddenly a strange physical feeling inside Rocky. It felt like something was moving, a strange buzz reverberating throughout his body. It was deeply uncomfortable and continued to increase in intensity until Rocky suddenly felt like he had to open his ventral seal right now and get something out out out. It was all so quick that Rocky could barely think about how absolutely wrong it felt.

Neatly folded inside Wei Wuxian’s drawer was a notorious pair of pants.
Next to skinny jeans and cargo shorts, next to workout pants and comfy sweatpants, lie the most hideous pants known to mankind.
Logically speaking, no man in his right mind would even pick these pair of pants off the shelf. If he were, he would do so to hold it up to himself and make a joke to his friend along the lines of “Hey, should I wear this to prom?” before putting it back.
Yet, Wei Wuxian is one who often defies logic.

Summary
Steve remembered a saying Robin had told him one time, something about once being a chance, twice a coincidence, and three times a pattern.
So maybe the earring and the perfume were a coincidence. It could mean nothing.
It could mean that Robin was right and he should go to therapy. That, on top of all the trauma from the Upside Down and being neglected as a child, Steve tended to self-sabotage and look for the negative. Steve tended to find the things that went wrong instead of focusing on what was going right. That he was always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It was an overall stupid and inconsequential thing, but he was just itching to hear him let loose a squeaky, frustrated fuck.
Rocky added that to his ever growing mental list of things he wanted to do with him: get Gracie off so good he finally said fuck.
Rocky was confident in his abilities to make it happen.
He’d be the best damn lay Grace ever had, actually. Alien species, be damned. Rocky was nothing if not adaptable and teachable; he aimed to please. He’d do whatever necessary to aid his best friend in succumbing to absolute bliss. It was a little ridiculous how fast that had become his new life’s mission.
