Summary
After his heroic sacrifice on behalf of the dwarves of Erebor, Bilbo will be well cared for. Naturally, he hates the idea. Crossing half the world, riding barrels, and fighting spiders was supposed to change things. No one should need to carry him anymore. Thorin understands such pride better than most, but he will stop at nothing to have the hobbit safe in his arms.

Summary
After being rescued by Bilbo, Thorin begins to realize that his feelings for the halfling are more than simple gratitude. But past ills cannot be so easily undone, and the growing need inside him proves difficult to understand or control. And although he might be king in name, a man without land or wealth has little to offer anyone.

The journey is long and hard, so why shouldn't Bilbo take what Thorin is offering?
Oh, probably because he's hopelessly in love with a handsome king who's only interested in him for sex. But there's not much else to do when you're on your way to fight a dragon.

Bofur frowned. “Bilbo, no–”

Summary
“–Come Durin’s Day, the Mountain will host great entertainments, games, and feasting in your name and in the names of the other thirteen of the Company. Your path through all of Arda shall be made smooth to ensure your welcome in our lands, Bilbo Baggins. I bring this summons as it was sent from the Throne of Thorin, King Under the Mountain.”
Bilbo’s heart, racing as it had been from this thrilling invitation, seemed to trip over itself at the name. “Thorin?” he whispered, and he stepped forward without thinking.
--
Or: Bilbo learns that his story isn’t actually a tragedy, and that happy endings still take a bit of luck.

Summary
In the years since Bilbo left Erebor, he has lost his respectability, gained a nephew, and gotten on with life at Bag End.
He'd left aside adventure for the comforts and peace of his little Hobbit hole, and for the love of a child who needed him. Though perhaps, adventures can yet find him.

Summary
From a Hobbitkink prompt:
The battle was over, and Thorin Oakenshield awoke, naked and shivering, in the Halls of his Ancestors.
The novelty of being dead fades quickly, and watching over his companions soon fills him with grief and guilt. Oddly, a faint flicker of hope arises in the form of his youngest kinsman, a Dwarf of Durin's line with bright red hair.
(Follows the story of the War of the Ring).
(Bagginshield, Gimli/Legolas) In which recovery takes time, the dead members of the Company take to watching Gimli as though he’s a soap opera, the living struggle with being left behind, Legolas is confused, Khuzdul is abused, and Thorin is four feet and ten inches of guilt and anger.

“Okay,” Din said aloud, taking a deep breath.
The baby quietened, the rise of the chest beneath him far more soothing than the hand still patting his back, apparently.

He caught himself with a soft jolt.

“To all Mandalorians, of all walks and ways, it is time to come home—so decree the Mand’alors.”
. . . . .
Din Djarin and Sabine Wren put the call out, summoning the scattered tribes and clans, beckoning them to join them on Krownest: their new home-world.
Building a home nearly from scratch and convincing Mandalorians to play nice with each other is enough of a challenge; the last thing they need is someone going around, framing them for crimes and stoking the New Republic’s ire and distrust.
As their choices face trial and enemies loom in the shadows, Din and Sabine stand firm against the waves, ever backed by a network of allies.
They’ve both seen Mandalore fall before.
No more.

Summary
Din is no stranger to pain. He’s been shot, he’s been stabbed, he’s been beaten unconscious. He’s fallen from too high and broken too many bones and more than once nearly died for no good reason.
But this… Watching the Jedi take Grogu away...
It’s like his heart has been yanked through his beskar, all his internal organs carved up and carted off, only a hollow empty ache left in that warm place where the kid had lived.
And yet this is the Way...
---
This is a story of bounties and battles, of unexpected meetings with old friends, and of the making of new allies, as Din travels the Outer Rim Systems after giving up The Child. It's a story of (unintentional) self-discovery and (accidental) fame, Din stumbling sideways into realization and revelation, as he learns what it means- for him- to walk the Way of the Mandalore.
Contains joyful reunions, action, feels, and found family, with a happy ending all around.
Set immediately Post-Mandalorian Season 2 finale. Does not reflect Book of Boba Fett events.
