“I’m so sorry,” Dennis said right before he looked up into a face he recognized. “Dr. Robby?!” his voice squeaking just a bit. He quickly removed his hands from the other man's arms. “What are you doing here?
“Waiting on a drink, same as you.” Robby was shocked to see his student but managed to keep the emotion from his face. He could see that Whitaker was struggling with finding his boss standing beside him.
“I just meant that this doesn’t seem like your kind of place.”
Robby chuckled,”Which part, the club scene or that it’s a gay bar?”
(Whitaker bumps into Robby and learns a few things about him.)

Where Samira thought he would lay motionless on the ground his body did the exact opposite, shaking violently, arms and legs jerking in every direction. His head was thrown back, the muscles bulging in his neck and his whole body spasming.

Somehow, if Robby was standing next to Dennis, talking to him, Robby couldn’t not be touching him. A firm hand on his shoulder, thumb pressing down on the back of his neck, rubbing the skin there absentmindedly. Taking a patient’s chart from his hands, brushing the inside of his wrist with the back of his hand. Stopping him in the hallway, gripping his waist from behind and turning him around to talk to him.
It was…ridiculous.
It was too much.
Dennis could feel in his bones the thump of Robby’s blood, coursing in his veins, the hard beating of his heart, the wooshing sound of air in his lungs, and Dennis was scared.
With that much touching, there was no way Robby hadn’t noticed Dennis didn’t have a pulse.
