It was because of her. She had been diagnosed with cancer and needed to be seen by better doctors than she would have access to in Arcadia Bay.
While she fought for her life, her best friend, Chloe Price, was left in the dark. Max didn’t want Chloe to have to deal with another death after just losing her father, so in an effort to protect her, she cut off contact with her.
Seven years later, Max has slowly been losing her will to keep up the fight. But after having a fateful reunion with her former best friend, her outlook on life may begin to change.
