“Did he throw you out?” she asked, trying to joke, though nothing about her expression suggested amusement.“No.” Mike shook his head. His hands trembled in his lap.
“I ran away.”She turned sharply toward him. “What?” Her voice snapped.
“Are you out of your mind, Wheeler?”Her hand snapped against the back of his head – not cruel, but solid. Grounding.
Mike didn’t protest. He probably deserved it.

Will hadn’t contacted his family and friends in over two years. When Mike writes a book about his feelings Max convinces him to give it to Will. When they see him again they freeze. Will has been abused by Carlton all this time.

A glorious flush bloomed across Will's face and he looked away. Mike didn't miss the chance to trace his eyes over Will's neck, watching his Adam's apple bob.
“Maybe you trust me too much,” Will said quietly.
“Not possible,” Mike replied.

Summary
The juice container nearly slips from Mike’s hands the moment the truth hits him hard and cold, like a bucket of ice straight to the spine, the hairs on the back of his neck rising unpleasantly. He’s remembering Will.
Not the kitchen Will, not the real-life Will in front of him, but the Will from his dream. Which means it wasn’t an actual nightmare. Not even close.
“Are you okay?” Will asks softly, suddenly right beside him at the fridge.
or; Mike wakes up from a dream he can’t fully remember. At first it feels like a nightmare, but soon hands, whispers, and kisses start to flicker through his mind and suddenly, Mike realizes he might be completely, hopelessly into his best friend Will.

He had only ever liked one other person in his life, a girl. They met while dancing for BTS but he broke up with her when he decided to enter Jype and become an idol, he thought that having relationships would just get in the way of his improvements.
But here he was, loosing sleep over someone he fell in love with, he knew he never should've let it develop into something deeper than a simple crush but every time he thought about moving on, he just indulged in the warm feeling in the pit of his stomach for a little longer but it grew and grew whenever he looked at Changbin and before he knew it. He was in love.
