Summary
Seemingly out of nowhere and with no warning, Pyro returns to Tegrith, set on picking his life right back up where he left it eight years ago. Scott has no idea what to think about the man who used to be his best friend, who abandoned them all once, but is now promising that he's here to stay.
Especially with how he's saying that he's back for Scott specifically.
Both of them have changed in their time apart, but Scott swears that there's something different about Pyro. Has he just matured? Did he go though something awful while away from home? Or is it something more?
On top of Scott's whirlwind of conflicted emotions, Tegrith is threatened by a strange corrupting force like no one has ever seen before. Except maybe Pyro...

Nom feels more and more like his death is imminent. Maybe he's felt that way all of his life, but he's thinking about it more now. With it, the weight of his regrets and lost opportunities are piling up heavily.
Him never having had sex isn't the top of his list or anything, but it's certainly on there.
Scott doesn't know how to help Nom with most of his problems, but he's in the same boat with the never having had sex thing, so they might as well help each other out with that. Lots of feelings are involved.

A deep hood shadowed its face, but four pairs of gigantic wings unfurled behind it, each feather a shifting gradient of dark purple and black, absorbing what little light Scott emitted. Scott has had enough of being betrayed by his teammates, it's always happened in theses games! So now, in the next game called secret life, Scott decides that he'll be the lone wolf. But then a pesky bird comes along, pestering and teasing him to be his teammate, and Scott reluctantly agrees. It won't be that bad to team up with the guy who has betrayed everyone of his teammates in each game, right...? Who am I joking? Ofcourse it'll be bad! But this is better than having him do stupid stuff just to win him over and be his teammate! And he also needs to complete his obnoxiously stupid task. Might as well get that over with.
