One quiet night in Snowdin, he sat by the fire while a kindly monster told him a tale of the Royal Judge: a mysterious figure who listened to every soul, weighed every choice, and decided who could pass and who must turn back. The judge was said to have eyes like starlight and a voice that could shake the halls of the Underground.
Papyrus leaned forward, sockets wide.
“WOWIE! DO THEY WEAR A CAPE?” he asked.The monster chuckled. “Some say they wear justice itself.”

For hundreds of years, the monsters were trapped underground. And with help from a 6th grader, we eventually reached the surface world; bathing sunlight and staring at the stars were not just a wish anymore. Both humans and monsters lived in unison. Once again, monsterkinds were filled with HOPE.

There was a certain group of people—a cult, if to be more precise—called Monster Hunters. They attempted to kill the king of monsterkind, Asgore Dreemurr. One of the arrested members claimed that the reason behind the assassination was the murder of the sacrificed souls, which were taken in order to break the barrier.
It was fine when the king was the only target. Because after a while… it is not.
