Then his eyes landed on Ness’s face. He was laughing. There was something unguarded there, a look Kaiser had never seen before.
Something in him jolted. A tremor ran through his hand and up his arm. He didn’t understand why. Annoyed, he tightened his grip and swiped up the app harder than necessary, switching to his messages.
"You are out there partying with a LV bag that does not even match your fit."

After joining Real Madrid, Kaiser believes he’s reached the end of everything he ever worked for.

He traced a circle on the snow, and a second, smaller one inside it. It would have been nice to dig out his old spellbook for the occasion, but Ness didn’t want to push his luck too much. Besides, though it had been years, he still remembered the runes and their significance. He inscribed them carefully in the gap between the concentric circles until he had filled the space with the same summoning spell he had attempted when he was a child.
Now, all he needed to do was visualise the magical creature he wanted to bring to him. He was spoiled for choice, really, when there was an abundance of magical creatures he wanted to meet. Any one of them would do, he really wasn’t picky.
All he could imagine was choppy blond and blue hair, red and black and blue tattoos, blue roses—

Summary
Could Ness be truly called human? He read these books — filthy romantic novels, or even pornographic ones, and actually had the courage to grab his pen and risk off the character’s names, writing his and Kaiser’s instead. He’d get off to the words, to the fantasies he made up in his head. This wasn’t an idol he was being creepy towards, this was Michael Kaiser; his friend, his loved one. The striker who showed him the impossible could happen and saved his life. The one he cut the hair of, the one he kissed.
He soon found himself being more satisfied with his thoughts than with Kaiser himself. Imagining that Kaiser was hugging him was more comforting than the blonde actually, truly hugging him. That’s because fantasy Kaiser could be read, could be understood. And as much as Ness did understand real Kaiser, he didn’t understand why he’d kiss him, have sex with him.

The sweet scent was not so different here, but at the same time, it couldn’t have been more different. Kaiser swore that he could taste the frost that rimmed the plum blossoms on the back of his tongue, and when he closed his eyes and turned his face up to the white, featureless sky, it almost felt like he wasn’t on earth at all.

“What the fuck are you doing here, Yoichi?” Kaiser hesitated on the threshold of his hotel room, torn between stomping inside and turning right around so he didn’t have to deal with whatever the hell this was.
Yoichi grinned at him, a wicked spark in his eyes. He darted forward before Kaiser could ask him how he’d broken into his room and grabbed him by the hand, yanking him inside. Kaiser, of course, dug his heels in, resisting upon principle, if not on instinct. That was when another Yoichi poked his head around the corner, saw what was going on, and took Kaiser’s other hand to haul him in the rest of the way.
The door slammed behind him and the lock engaged. Right away, the air seemed to change.
“What the hell is this?”
In his hour of greatest need, Kaiser returns to his hotel room after a match to find not one, but two Yoichis. (His Yoichi, a third one, is somewhere.)
