Will Byers is a liar. Most of the time, he’s a damn good one. With enough preparation, Will can keep a lie going for a decade.
But Will fucked up. He didn’t stop and think, didn’t consider his plans and threw logic out of the window of that damn pizza van, and now it’s only a matter of time before Will gets caught in his own web of lies right where he began spinning them.
He should have just left that stupid fucking painting to get shot up and burned in California.
Because here it is, right in front of him, tacked up on Mike’s bedroom wall right across from where they sleep like a neon sign that Will won’t be able to ignore even in the darkness.
OR, Will comes back to Hawkins. It fucking sucks, but somebody's still gotta save the world. It might as well be him.

The name- god, why did that name have to be the one he thought of?- had been written out in Will’s blue pen before he could stop himself. Swirled out in his neat, perfect cursive, while simultaneously cursing back up at him.

Will has a project due for his French class in which he has to write about his future. When he gets to the "future spouse" part, Mike's name comes spewing from his pen before he can stop it. It's no big deal, really- until Mike himself gets a hold of the project.

Will hummed as if to indicate he was thinking about it, but to Mike it seemed insincere.
“Well, now that we both know this, maybe we should just carry on.”
“Don’t you want to talk about it? You never told me what you thought about my letter.”
Will sighed irritably, “We’re here, together, isn’t that enough for you?”
Mike’s stomach tightened. Enough was enough.
“It would be. But you’re not Will.”

Summary
House has never met someone in such an ugly trench coat before, but it only takes a short moment for this man to make an impression; he manages to get House's attention, sinking in deep at the root and breaking his expectations.
It’s something about the way the man’s oddly peculiar tastes and dialect linger in House’s mind. How different from the boring and usual mundane tasks, it’s too surreal to be fake.
In one short elevator ride, that’s all it took for him to become interesting. Maybe losing sight of him so often is much more than a mystery he’d like to get to the bottom of.
House has no idea where this religious man has come from, and why is he attending to a comatose patient waiting for him to wake up. One who seems anything but like the common criminal.
Gregory doesn’t need to believe in angels to know he’s met a genuine soul.

“Robin!” He doesn’t recognize his own voice, high and cracking and desperate. “Robin, help me!” He cradles Eddie’s face in his hand and supports him with the other, blood staining his shirt.
Steve doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about anything because Eddie is here. He’s alive. He’s different and bloodied but even as Robin approaches, even as she tells him this looks really bad, Steve, Steve breathes his first full breath since 1986.
