V is awake. The dream is dead. The next Corporate War is gearing up, Arasaka are fucking evil and this time V is making a stand. He wants freedom. To shatter the cycle of violence that keeps everyone in Night City enslaved. He doesn't want to live looking over his shoulder, just one more choice away from getting taken out by either the Corpo's or a Fixer with a grudge. He was a Night City Legend now, and he was going to make it everyone's problem.

It's been two years since V agreed to undergo a procedure that was meant to save her life, she wakes up in a world she barely recognizes, to friends that were no longer there, to relationships that no longer matter, and to a world that had moved on without her. She also discovers she can't even go back to her old life, to resume her quest to be the very best. Because she is already a Legend in the eyes of the Afterlife, and there is no such thing as a living legend.
Her combat capabilities have also been diminished, something to do with the procedure, her body being unable to take combat-oriented augments and implants. V's world is now colder, more hostile, and more depraved than she remembers.

Post Tower ending Fix It.
V couldn't bring herself to turn Songbird in, she understood she was just trying to survive on while on the brink of death, after a life of being used, abused and manipulated, her Freedom stripped and Twisted into a living weapon. V would have done the same thing in her position.
The pair of dying women shared a bond no one else in this world would understand. Surprisingly Reed lets them go.
Eventually V watched the shuttle take off and Accepts her fate. Johnny took that time to self reflect, he had noticed her sacrifice and would follow the same path.
Days Later a certain someone "convinced" Myers that V is owed the cure she was promised for saving the President's life.The surgery doesn't pan out as promised. V wakes up to find 2 years have passed her by in what felt like a minute, and learns the complications of her new life, forced to abandon the old one. V still felt as if something was off, like she wasn't given the full truth. Her distrust in the FIA leaves her skeptical of the aftermath.
This is probably going to be my longest running story and a slow burn, but I promise You'll all get that ending I mentioned in the tags!

V has gone through so much to undo the choices made at Kompeki Plaza. Slotting the Relic was the catalyst for a seemingly non-stop, adrenaline-fueled, fever dream through Night City searching for the cure to fix her. After choosing to assault Araska Tower with Panam and the Aledcaldos, she finally thought she was at the trial's end; the end was in sight. But Alt lied to her, she fucked up leaving her with six months left to live. Not on her watch!
V was fed up; she wanted to start her life with Judy, who’d join her in fleeing Night City. V wanted to live, and she was going to find a way. Her journey takes her out of Night City for some much-needed R&R while they come to terms with past events. But time runs short, and V continues to have "episodes" - bloody noses, blackouts, strange dreams. She needed a fix, and she needed it sooner rather than later.
V and Judy journey to Phoenix to find Doctor Natasha Brooks, an ex-scientist at Biodyne Systems and creator of a unique series of Nanobots designed to fix damaged tissue in Multiple sclerosis patients. Could this be the cure she’s been searching for? Could she acquire them before her clock finally runs out?

Alt was incorrect on a technicality, V is not dying, she already died, she is now a construct on The Relic gradually converting the body back to her own, despite what she was informed. A visit with Viktor confirmed that her brain is healing but she can't help but wonder why she feels so empty, why her victory feels so hollow.
The identity crisis of someone realizing they're a copy of the original. Someone else's face, thoughts, voice and memories. It all feels so real because it's genuinely all she's ever known. It's real to her but will it be the same for those she loves?
