It isn’t a question, and so Nice doesn’t bother responding. He keeps his hand out. Silent, still. Patient. The way he’s learned to be as another one of Xin Ya’s once beloved playthings.
I’ve learned to wait for you, too, haven’t I? he thinks, curling his fingers in just slightly as he observes Lin Ling from under his lashes.
Lin Ling exhales. “You’re serious? Me? You want to dance with me?”
