Summary
Duke Kinard was already waiting at the altar. His back was turned, but from what Buck could make out of him, they were about the same height and build. Buck took his first few steps. The Duke never turned to look at him, but everyone else did.
Other than his mother, there were no familiar faces. No encouraging looks. No real smiles. Everyone here was a stranger and they probably couldn’t even begin to understand why this was happening at all.
He held his head high and before he knew it, he was there. The Duke turned.
Buck was stunned.
Blue eyes met his with a stoic expression. He had a jaw that could have been used to cut glass, a dimpled chin. An aquiline nose that fit him perfectly. Duke Kinard was without a doubt, the most attractive man that Buck had ever met and he was about to become his husband.

Buck didn’t even remember what he’d said let alone that he’d mentioned Tommy.
“I…I don’t know,” Buck said. “Honestly, it was all a blur. I didn’t have a speech planned and I can’t remember what I said or who I thanked. I was a bit of a mess. I’m still a bit of a mess. This is so unexpected."
They all laughed.
“You and Tommy have history, how was it to work with him on this show?”

Tommy's hands flex at his sides as he watches Evan hoist a tree from the bed of the truck. He'd offered to help with Tommy's yard project, because Tommy wants some shade in his backyard and some plants that aren't just generic bushes that don't do anything except give skunks a place to hide in the middle of the night.
He might as well have told Evan to come shoot porn in his yard. He's wearing a tank top and old work pants and gloves and boots, and he's covered in sweat and dirt. When he catches Tommy watching, he grins and flexes a little as he straightens up from setting the young lemon tree down next to the hole it's going to live in.
“Can I get a hand with your yard?” Evan teases, brushing his gloved hands together.

Tommy knew he had a jealous streak. He had envied more than one person in his lifetime, which he blamed on his past. With his father, his time in the army, and Captain Gerrard, no one could really fault him for having wished, very often, to be someone else.

And yet he had never given in to that jealousy. He allowed himself, just this once, to be proud of that. Whatever emotional baggage he carried was his problem, not anyone else’s. Especially not his romantic partners’.
This, however, was different.
He had already lost Evan once because he had suppressed his jealousy. Admitting it later had only driven the wedge between them deeper. Now that they were finally back together, he couldn’t risk that happening again.
Besides, this situation was clearly nothing like last time. Last time, Tommy had been jealous of Eddie. It had only made sense that Evan would stand up for his best friend.
This puffed-up wannabe Adonis, on the other hand, was a complete stranger.
