Summary
In a canon divergence in which only Viserys Targaryen was rescued from Dragonstone and taken across the Narrow Sea, an infant Daenerys Targaryen avoids death only by the intervention of Lord Eddard Stark. Dany is taken to Winterfell with the understanding that her future can only lead to one thing: taking the vows of a septa and eliminating any claim she would ever have to the Iron Throne.
Though Dany has survived the ruin of her house, life is far from simple. Though raised among Starks, Lady Catelyn does not allow her children to get close to Dany. So instead, the Mad King's daughter resigns herself to the lonely life of a novice septa. That is until meeting a kindred spirit changes the course of her life at Winterfell and perhaps the future of the realm.
Please enjoy this alternate universe story in which Daenerys Targaryen's fate is tied to that of the Starks of Winterfell as the War of the Five Kings approaches.

This is a general fiction AU story for both GoT and ASOIAF (I borrow elements from each) that begins with familiar events in Yunkai and then diverges into a distinct narrative with new heroes, villains, love interests, and locations mixed in with canon characters, familiar settings, and re-imagined story beats. Politics, war strategies, shifting allegiances, and lore play a major part.
The story is not told exclusively from Daenerys's POV, but she is the main POV character. The entire work revolves around her life, including her struggles to defeat enemies both magical and mundane, overcome tragedy, go on a journey of self-exploration, and perhaps find love and a happy ending, even if the path is long, tortuous, and uncertain.

I’m in tears at 3:06 AM in the morning and I can’t even type how I feel. I have to voice message it because this has been one of the most amazing stories I have ever read in my life and I can’t even begin to explain how amazing the story is it’s not even done and I’m just in tears. Jon and Dany deserve to be together forever and this is just this is amazing. I love it so much. This is the best fic I have ever read in my entire life. I’m in tears. TEARS.
