“I know.” Beef just smiled obviously, wide enough for his mouth to ache. “He just follows me around like a shadow, you know? He’s quite charming, eh.”
“Quite charming?” Etho turned back towards the darkly clothed man. “More like hypnotizing.”
The taller man just laughed gleefully. “I can tell you’ve been hanging out with Joe too much if you’re making puns out of my name.”
“Hypno…tizing?” Beef repeated, his brain trying to make the connection.
Or, a trio of prodigal hermits go back to their roots. While Etho blends right in with the chaos that blossomed in his absence, Beef and Hypno have a hard time adapting to the changes. However, as old friendships crumble and a new war on the horizon threatens to tear them apart, the two misfits find solace in each other.

“Of course, Grian,” Ren returns with a grin, standing up. He takes a few steps toward the avian before continuing, coming to a stop mere feet in front of him. “The reason I called you here is because I have received some information.”
“What kind of information?”
“Information regarding a certain…vampire lord.” Ren stops in front of Grian.
“The…vampire lord…?” Grian swallows. He'd learned about the vampire lord at the academy. 'Lord' was a generous title. He was simply called the 'Vampire Lord' because he was rumoured to be the first vampire in existence. All vampires stem from him, and he was almost all powerful. He was also said to be the son of a Watcher and a human, but those were just rumours. Ren wasn’t going to ask what he thinks he will, right?

The first time that Mumbo experienced an auction was also the first time that he remembered questioning everything that he knew.
Everyone reaches a point in their childhood where they realise that their parents are people who aren’t always right. Usually however, this doesn’t include a shattering realisation that you don’t actually know anything about the world.
The bubble that Mumbo grew up in had black tinted windows that prevented him from seeing anything other than what was right in front of him. And with no reason to suspect otherwise, how was he to know that there was a whole world out there.
Okay, maybe that was a little extreme, but the general point still stood. His entire world view had just collapsed and now, at the grand old age of ten, he was finding out that life wasn’t supposed to be a constant charade.
Unfortunately, Mumbo was not a natural to the art of acting.

Welsknight was restless. The fact that the dim early morning was completely silent didn’t help. He paced his room, shining armour making extremely annoying scraping sounds with each step and shift he made. It didn’t stop him from pacing, of course. It was annoying — Wels was a knight, imbued with discipline and orderliness. He could control every single part of himself, except this. When the beast in his brain stem started to writhe and gnash its teeth, he would fall to its whims eventually. This time, though, he was determined not to give in. The damn beast had to quiet down eventually. If he didn’t hand it exactly what it wanted, maybe his brain would rewire itself. Or the thing would just lie down and give in. That was what his superiors had always said — if you beat something enough, it eventually yields to you.

Summary
Strange things happening on the Hermitcraft Server lead Xisuma to suggest that the Hermits evacuate through a portal to a new server temporarily whilst he sorts things out. But what’s this? It seems the Hermits have unknowingly arrived in a new game of Life, Power Life.
In Power Life, you are randomly assigned a special ability, these abilities can range wildly in usefulness. But you are also given a set amount of lives that corresponds to the usefulness of the ability. Those with the most useful abilities will have just 2 lives. And those with the least useful abilities will have 6 lives. You are able to transfer these lives to others as a form of currency. You won’t know the specifics of your powers immediately but you will know how many lives you have and for some of you it will be obvious. Others may have to do some testing.
Furthermore, every day one of the non-Red players will be assigned as the boogeyman. Although there is a possibility that more than 1 will be chosen. This player must kill another non-Red by the end of the day or be put on their final life. With that out of the way, let’s get in to Power Life.

He let that name roll off his tongue, one he had been holding back for years.

Or, Skizzleman, Impulse's long-lost friend, finds his way onto the prestigious Hermitcraft server. While coming to terms with what made them lose touch all those years ago, Skizz struggles to find his place among the other hermits. However, there's a spark inside of him that the other hermits lack, one that might benefit the server in the long run.
