Summary
He felt unsure. He trusted the guardians to back him up in a fight, but he was sure just how much he trusted them outside of that. Can he trust them to still want him around if they found out about all his insecurities and issues?
What about his other job? What if they found out about that? They surely would despise him for being a shepherd. After all, it's the Guardians' job to protect children and their childhood. They would despise him for being one who has to cut them short.

Rudo and Regto are banished to the pits when he is only ten years old after they are framed for murder. They land in a garbage field of poison air, trash beasts, and a future scraped together from whatever they can salvage.
Nothing was trash to Rudo. Every item is important and he'd fix all of them if he could. How was he supposed to know that they seemed to care about him, too?
Or.. Regto does everything he can for Rudo on the ground even if it means risking it all when they join the Cleaners.

Zanka cursed, yanking on the handle even though he knew it was a feudal attempt with the power being down and Shikage's automatic lock system in place. "Great, just great," he murmured to himself, glancing back at Rudo who still leaned against the wall, his chest heaving with anger and embarrassment. The room was cast in an eerie red glow from the emergency lights, highlighting the tension in the air.
