Michael Jacob Yew is a demigod son of Apollo, God of the Sun.
Great. Fantastic, one might even say. Everyone wants to look up at the sky, point to the shiny thing in the middle, and say 'Hell yeah, that's my DAD'
But life is never easy, and being spawned into existence by a big ball of fire doesn't make it better. It just makes you less likely to get sunburnt, and more likely to be spat on by Clarisse La Rue
...Mind you, being less than five feet tall doesn't really help. All things considered, he's probably the perfect spitting height.

This is a story about Michael's life from ages 9 to 23. It follows all the ups and the downs of being a demigod, including the many times you get strung up a in tree by your brother, those moments where you possibly, kind of start looking at your best friend like you want to kiss him, and the occasional points in life where smacking someone upside the head with an untuned ukelele looks really appealing. You know what I mean.

Michael has never met his soulmate, despite the fact that everyone else his age seems to have. All the people he knows have had that moment, the one where colour floods their vision and they know that the person touching them is the other half of their soul. He's yet to find them, whoever they are.
Aiports aren't exactly the best place to meet someone, in any sense of the term. Loud, crowded, generally hold the vibe of exhausted, anxious parents. Wouldn't be his first choice for a hangout.
But fate has weird ways of showing itself, he supposes.

“Seems so.” He shrugged, making a beeline for the kitchen counter and opening a drawer to search for Elerith’s sharper scissors, Vaughan frowning as he sniffed the air around them.
“Is he bleeding?”
“I’ve sorted it.”
“Then what are the scissors for?”
He blinked at the scissors currently in his hand, suddenly realising that this wasn’t quite the... normal situation for them. “He... wants his hair shorter.”
All three males stared at him, Connall’s eyebrow arching high enough to blend with his hairline. “You’re cutting his hair?”

Kon quickly got control of his laughter after Robin spoke. “So, you used to have a thing for this guy? What happened? Was it the Nightwing comment?” Kon’s smirk didn’t drown out the curiosity written so clearly on his face.
Inexplicably, Robin went bright red again. “Nothing happened! Nothing specific at least, I just… got over the guy! No crazy story there!” Definitely not because he found himself rapidly falling in love with his best friend, the very person asking him the question in the first damn place!"
