It’s technically Takeshi’s birthday. That’s what the clock says. 6am. November 9th. It doesn’t feel real, really. Wrong. An incorrect fact, buzzer winging overhead. Paint dripping down a canvas where it was spilled. Paper towels pressed against the liquid to try and salvage a wreck.
God, it’s so stupid. It’s just a day. Time marches forward.

okay for an actual good explanation of the au: Hasegawa Ken travels back in time to the start of the killing game. waking up in Okazaki's body instead of his own.
he adopts her name, but tells everyone hes a guy. cause he doesnt want to be misgendered on top of everything else. hence the "okazaki uses he/him pronouns" tag on everything.
for convenience, i refer to this hasegawa as "loopazaki". that way he isn't confused with the other hasegawa running around, nor the okazaki he remembers!
