Summary
Peter figured out how to put on a front about two weeks into being Spiderman: after all, if the criminals can see you're scared shitless- they assume they can get away because you're, well, scared shitless.
It also went into making sure that no matter what he faced, no matter how many scars vanished from his body, he was still the weird, awkward, nerdy Peter Parker he'd always been.
So, no, Peter wasn't offended when only Deadpool noticed his very shit emotions after the whole messed-up-a-spell-that-nearly-destroyed-the-universe-and-then-wiped-himself-from-existence thing. He gets it, it's hard to read him when he knows how to hide literally all of his tells, even the one's other humans can't pick up on.
So, well, he tells Deadpool he's gonna go civilian, asks him to keep an eye on Queens, and ignores the very knowing look and extra-tight first/last hug.
Note 1: getting shot in the brain apparently hurts a LOT.
Note 2: Spider mutant + Ninja Turtle Ooze = some really weird upgrades.
Note 3: Fucking Wade must be laughing his ass off.

Jason’s finger twitches on the trigger. His face responds like he’s the one at gunpoint.
“Who the fuck are you?” He demands.
Clark sighs.
“Well I told you, I’m Superman,” he says, “but if it rings any bells, they used to call me Superboy-Prime.”
The result is instant. Jason’s eyes shoot open and his finger presses to fire. Clark is in front of him before he’s finished. He pulls the gun out of Jason’s grip by the barrel, faces inches apart as he cranes his neck down to make them even.

It starts as a joke during a press interview—Tim, sleep-deprived and annoyed, claims he's dating Jason to shut down nosy reporters. Jason thinks it's hilarious… until the media runs with it. Now everyone believes they’re a couple. Going along with the lie is easier than correcting it—until fake hand-holding becomes real tension, until public appearances blur into private longing. Until it’s not a joke anymore.

Dick turns to start running the shower. He’s sweaty and caked in blood. “Need anything else?” Jason asks, rolling the bloody gloves off his hands and dropping them in the little trash can that sits between the sink and the toilet. “Pain killers?”
“There should be some in the medicine cabinet.”
Jason pulls on the little mirror above the sink, revealing the clutter that Dick’s never really bothered to clean out. “Jesus Christ, dude,” Jason chides, “do you ever throw anything away?”

Jason patches up an injured Dick and then roots around in his medicine cabinet. He learns more about his brother than either of them was prepared for.

Summary
There is a Russian phrase, Перед смертью не надышишься, or ‘you cannot breathe enough before death’. Tim wished he could tell you it was a cool idiom, but it was not. Although, Tim had always found the phrasing interesting even if it had a different meaning.
Because it was true, no amount of breathing could stop death from coming.
