Ughhhhhhhhhh I loved this so much T-T the feel goods, the drama, the mourning. This is a beautiful story, and a really good midlength. It ends on a lovely bittersweet note, with a eloquent discussion of what eternity means to to he who loves a mortal.

They were discussing their career interest forms today, but that was it. Nothing time-critical was supposed to be happening.
“Midoriya, you were reported missing a week ago. No one has seen you for eight days. The police have been combing the city for you.”
"I’m sorry. What?”
Midoriya Izuku went missing for a week and turned up in a back alleyway with skills he's never even heard of and no memory of how he came by them. He resigns himself to never learning the truth of what happened to him, but he shouldn't waste this chance should he? He could become a hero with reflexes like these.

Red Robin understands his role in the Batfamily by now.
He stays around enough to be counted as present.
He engages enough to be counted as useful.
He avoids enough to be counted as convenient.
The rules of being a Drake-Wayne are much the same.
It's been a hard lesson, but Tim understands his relationship to the Waynes quite well.
…The only problem is that they still don't seem to understand—which is pretty frustrating, given that they're the very ones who necessitated setting up the current rules of engagement. And Bruce is really a little young to have such a spotty memory already.
Still, the teenaged CEO of Wayne Enterprises is nothing if not a dutiful son, so if Bruce keeps pressing him for answers, well…Tim juuust might have to oblige.

This was an incredibly cathartic hurt/comfort. It's got a good set up where we see the intricacies of Tim's life and relationships with the bats, and they begin to realize something is wrong. There are multiple deflected confrontations before finally Bruce corners Tim at WE and there's a beautifully written argument where Tim uses his words like finely crafted daggers in order to finally convince Bruce of his failures.
The back and forth is perfectly balanced to allow for maximum emotional release on Tim's part without making him seem like an uwu sad boi, or demonizing the other bats. -

Peter and Deadpool are held captive by a super-villain that has an inclination for torture. After she boasts her untarnished record at never having hurt a child or teenager, Peter is forced to break the truth to both her and Deadpool.
“Did you know I have a perfect record?” The villain collects a rusted pocket knife, tracing it up Peter’s arm, over his shoulders, down to his collarbone, as though considering where to cut. Peter focuses on controlling his breathing, fear twisting awfully in his belly. “You may look down on me, Mr. Spider-Man, but for all the righteous suffering I inflict, I’ve never hurt a child. Not once.”
“Y'know, I don’t think you do,” Peter blurts. At his words, Deadpool's stare intensifies. “Have a perfect, non-child harming record, that is.”

So, it didn’t start out like this.
Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-
So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.
It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:
“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

Rewritten Harry Potter if he gets into politics and Dumbledore is a bastard. Absolutely amazing, but a really really long read. I don't know if I'll ever have the patience to sit down and read it again, but it's not the sort of story I want to lose.
