“Jax, are you okay?” She spoke softly, moving behind the wall and trying to smile gently.
There was no instant response as Jax buried his face into his knees. Jax was quiet as Pomni sat down, he took a very shaky breath and kept his head down. “Please… stop looking at me. I don’t want you to.”
She obeyed the order, looking at her own feet instead. “I’m sorry this adventure isn’t going your way.”
A small laugh, no movement. “Everyone probably thinks I’m being a little b[%$!#]tch.”

“A word given is a word to keep,” the creature sang back, ignoring the table’s shouts of dismay, “You sow lost words— dark gifts you reap.”
As children, Arthur, Morgana, Gwen, Elyan, and Leon made vows to a creature in the catacombs of Camelot. Years later, on the eve of Arthur's prospective betrothal, they are whisked away to make amends for breaking them.
Merlin and Gwaine must make up for the prince's sudden absence by disguising the latter as Arthur to court Princesses Mithian, Vivian, and Elena in his place, all while Merlin tries to find Arthur and his friends before any ill befalls them.
Amid this, Morgause schemes to kill the Pendragons and Merlin pines for his prince, convinced his love cannot be.

Summary
Recently, there’s been a rising interest towards an 18+ BL novel featuring obsessive male leads and a feisty main character. It was entitled The Clipped Feathers’ Flight, shortened to TCFF. People especially praise the personality of the MC, saying that he has a lot more agency compared to other MCs of the same genre. Words like “hard-headed” and “strong” were thrown around.
The second ML, however? He’s a douchebag through and through. Ivan can’t deny that the only reason his hatred for TCFF had drawn him to follow his passionate, rage-filled loyalty to reading, was because of the second ML. After all, he has Ivan’s exact name! He’s even described to be of the same face.
“Hah, it’d be funny if this was foreshadowing the start of another BL web novel.” He jokes to himself, mostly. How cliche is it, after all? Same face? Same name?
It’s like it was the set-up for one of those transmigration stories that he’d always found so cheesy and also happened to hate-read on the off times that he wasn’t consumed by this novel! He couldn’t help making a joke of it.
Not like it’d ever happen, anyway.

Oh god, is she so easy to read? Mizi wilts like a flower, relieved beyond words, and can't help but laugh— sagging back against the wall. Sua’s face is so open and honest she doesn’t feel the need to question anymore, knowing it’s the truth. “You really scared me for a second there, Sua. Oh my god."

Jax is fine.
Completely and totally fine.
He's fine when his best friend suddenly becomes aggressive and turns on him. He's fine when he starts pushing everyone else away. He's fine after fighting with Pomni when she claims they're friends. And he's sure as hell fine when he locks himself and his room, slowly beginning to abstract.
Jax's world is coming down around him and he struggles to admit that he's lost control, that maybe he's never been in control.
When he started to abstract he didn't expect to wake up. He didn't expect the rest of the circus to suddenly be rallying with him after everything he said and did.
And he definitely didn't expect that he might finally have to admit, to himself and everyone else, that he's not okay.
(OR: After episode 6 Jax starts to abstract. The gang finds a way to stop it but there are… consequences. Jax is forced to think about his past and becomes angry at the idea that he once again could be hopeless. But is he really?)
