Will lazily opened his eyes, glancing at him. “Tense how?”

As if thought into existence, Mike’s eyes caught on a familiar figure yanking a navy blue duffel bag off a conveyer belt.
A wide grin spread across his face, quickly combing a hand through his hair as he headed over, pace edging closer to a jog than a walk. It had been 5 months, okay?? Give him a break…
And they talked all the time, sure. Between calls, texts, and voice notes sent at random hours, they talked 24/7.
But Mike still lived in Hawkins, and his bestfriend still lived in New York, busy with classes and art deadlines and a whole new life that rarely lined up with Mike’s writing schedule and work. Their time spent apart was long enough that Mike had almost forgotten how it felt to have his stomach flip just from seeing him in person.
TLDR:
Robin’s having a destination wedding in Santorini, Greece. Mike and Will’s hotel room only has one bed. -

For a moment, they just looked at each other. All at once, Mike’s appearance registered to him. He was flushed, still breathing hard from the chase, shirt off, and wearing those fucking sunglasses again. God.
Mike didn’t have it any easier—Will was in his bright red lifeguard shorts, shirtless, with his whistle hanging down his bare chest. He suddenly felt disconnected from reality, every thought about blinking, breathing, or talking was gone.
Both guys just stared at each other until Max’s voice rang out from the concession window.
