The new laptop seemed to mock him, in a way, despite being completely unlike the older model he once had (which he had promptly thrown off in a dumpster, even if it was sure to reappear wherever the King willed it to). He traced his fingers through the indents. The base of it was sleek black, and its keyboard lit up red when turned on. A gaming laptop, perfect for every use, the worker by the window had advertised him.

Summary
Alright, it was official. Ze was now going to get his head out of his ass and get external help for once.
Because clearly, the world hadn’t accepted his plea for silence and had instead handed him some weird entity thing to bother him. Sure, maybe the guy was harmless. Maybe he even wanted to be friends. But Ze didn’t want friends. He needed space and silence. That just wasn’t possible when a stupid entity invaded all of his worlds. So, sue him for being a pessimist, he needed the fucker gone. Preferably within the next five minutes.

Summary
The stairs to the chamber were surprisingly mostly intact, and the chamber? Not so much. It looked completely wrecked. Blood (why was it still wet?) was smeared on the rubble. It smelt distinctively of car oil for a reason Parrot couldn’t quite reach. Even stranger was that Wifies wasn’t anywhere. Not a bone, skull, or even a body part was left. Come to think of it, there were faint, but very real footprints on some of the steps of the stairs. Parrot squinted.
Drag marks.
Shit. Somebody had stolen Wifies’ body. Who? And for what?
He searched through the rubble for more clues. After a few minutes he found... the spyglass. It was scratched, chipped from the sides, and blackened spots that suggested it was burnt. A note was attached to the side in hastily written scribbles.They were coordinates. And a single message: Come alone.

Flashing colors and upbeat music was all Moe knew in the beginning. Tricks, jokes, staged stunts that she made up herself to make her audience laugh and smile. That was important— the laughter. It meant everything to her to feel the morale go up, to hear praise and joy. Her job was to entertain, and she took immense pride in doing it perfectly.

Summary
Batman dies saving Red Hood.
Jason Todd doesn't agree with this outcome and wishes for more time.
He wakes up, thirteen and earnest, in his childhood bedroom in Wayne Manor. Bruce is knocking at his door in an attempt to rouse him. Jason remembers this day. They're going to a Gotham Knights game later in the afternoon. Bruce's blood is still warm and criminal on his hands.
‘“Have you ever thought about that?” Jason murmurs. “Being rich in time?”
He feels Bruce’s fingers carding through his hair again. “It’s the most precious commodity of all. It’s priceless. It’s the one thing that I wish I had more of. You don’t have to worry about that, Jay. You’re fifteen. You have your whole life ahead of you.”’
Or, the one where being Robin never gave Jason magic—he was a little magic all along. Jason decides to do things a little differently the second time around. Wherein time casts a spell on them, and Bruce discovers the drag path Jason left in his wake.

Which is simplifying it. Because, well, magic isn’t allowed in Gotham, first off. But also, it really doesn’t want to come to Gotham. Of all the things the Bat tries to keep out, magic is the easiest because magic wants to stay as far away from the city as possible. Zatanna called it a “cesspit of untamed ambient magic,” which was being nice even with calling it a cesspit. The last time some asked Constantine about Gotham he just laughed, lit his cigarette, and walked away.
