Ra's smiled. It was slimy and predatory. Jason was grateful as hell that Damian hadn’t inherited it. His self-righteous, puff-headed little smirk was all Bruce. "You know,” Ra’s said, “I haven’t anything prepared, Timothy, I do apologize. This has been nothing but a fortuitous happenstance. I had planned on pursuing you again in the future, of course, but I took our meeting at that gathering as an act of fate and had no choice but to take the opportunity in the moment."
He looked at Jason with displeasure. “You, however, were never part of any plan.” He rubbed his beard thoughtfully. “What to do with you, Jason Todd?”

It's ironic to him how the only time that Jason ever means anything to anyone always seems to be when he's nearly dying.
Maybe that's the point though, maybe no one's meant to care for him. Not when he's not even realistically supposed to be alive.
Or in which Jason gets abducted, he doesn't expect anyone to rescue him. Especially considering Dick and him aren't on the best of terms at the moment. But when his older brother gets captured while out searching for him, things change.
And Jason will stop at nothing to ensure the elder's safety. Even if it means risking his own.

There's a new trend amongst Gotham's criminals: making the Bats pick who to save. Good thing Jason and Tim both agree on who the right choice is.

But Jason was already out.
Or: For the first time since Jason’s return to the world of the living, he and the bats are finally on good enough terms to work together on cases. Jason tries to tell himself that it’s enough. Fate, however, has other plans. Very bloody, dramatic, and emotionally fraught plans.

Of all the things the Bat tries to keep out, magic is the easiest because magic wants to stay as far away from the city as possible. Zatanna called it a “cesspit of untamed ambient magic,” which was being nice even with calling it a cesspit. The last time some asked Constantine about Gotham he just laughed, lit his cigarette, and walked away.
