However, everything goes wrong, and nothing goes right. Wei Wuxian runs away. Of course, Lan Wangji does everything possible to try to find his omega again. All while believing his heir is deceased. But Wei Wuxian is hiding a big secret that he doesn't see coming.
Around them, the other disciples branched off to look for Wei Wuxian in case he hadn’t gone through the portal. But they came back empty. Wei Wuxian was gone, the only things left of him the muddy footprints and smears of blood.
