After the events of S4, El and Dustin are both struggling to find their place.
El is in hiding, training for the day that she can finally defeat Vecna and start her life.
Dustin feels everything crumbling around him, and is trying to hard to keep himself from crumbling, too.
After running into each other in the middle of the night, they start forming a bond separate from the party. Dustin is helping El find herself in a world where she has only ever been told who to be. El is helping Dustin heal and grow at a time where he feels the most alone he ever has.
