I'll be excluding individual events, such as Harringrove Week, because I post them individually. And any TWs, ships and so on will be in the notes at the beginning of each chapter so if something will bother you, you can skip that chapter. Summary
Summer 1989 has begun for the recent graduates of Hawkins High School: El, Mike, Lucas, Max, Dustin and Will. However, their last few months before college gets interrupted, thanks to a mysterious crash that occurs in Hawkins. Upon investigation, the party realizes there may be someone, or something, in town with powers similar to El’s or is simply from the Upside Down. But as they go down the rabbit hole, questions emerge as to what’s happening now. Meanwhile, a stranger arrives into town, and wants to know all they can about Hawkins’ recent history.

“You turned on the water? Yes?”
Billy nods, looking like he's gagging as he struggles to speak, his breath coming out in painfully audible wheezes now that the din of the shower is gone, “Ye-s, yes si-” he gets out before hacking violently.
He'll take it.
Hopper can hear the ambulance siren in the distance and knows he might have seconds.
“Okay, okay, wh-”
Billy cuts him off with a wounded whine, shrinking back from Hopper as he cries, “I-it burns, ple-ease, plea-” before breaking off into another bout of gagging and coughing.
No.
Hopper wills himself to remain calm and unhand Billy as he hears footsteps echoing off the poolside concrete outside. Two EMTs enter, one stands at the entrance to the showers, speaking with Heather, while the other immediately heads over to him and crouches down next to Hopper above Billy where he's collapsed back against the tiled floor.
“Uh, hey,” Hopper begins, trying to come up with a way to describe what he's afraid is wrong with Billy without mentioning government agencies and other dimensions, but Billy beats him to it.
“No hospital. I can't-”
