Eddie survived the Demo Bat Attack,and Vecna was defeated. Everything went back to normal, aside from Eddie and Steve getting closer, and Eddie’s band getting more popular.
One a week, Eddie and his band goes out of town for a show, when he returns he finds that Steve harrigton has been missing.
Eddie wants to find Steve and bring the person who took him to Justice.

All of these things Steve can deal with. He can handle sharp teeth and claws. He can handle wings and horns and tails. He’s fought monsters more times than he can count. What he can’t handle, however, is who all these features belong to.
Because, sitting on his bed and staring at him with near sparkling eyes is the beast that took him… “Eddie?!”

It's only a few months after their first fight with Vecna when Steve gets kidnapped and taken to the Upside Down by a new and "improved" Eddie Munson. When Steve discovers that Eddie's goal is to get him to join Vecna's side, he realizes the gravity of the situation. Will Steve be able to survive these mind games, or will he fall victim to Vecna's tricks and Eddie's charm?
Can his friends save him in time, or will he become the new villain of their story?
Only time can tell.

His hand goes automatically to his neck, near his jaw, tries to see if he can feel—
Ah. Okay. Yep. Already scabbed over the injection site. Must’ve been something else this time, like probably a bigger needle. Sedative to start, maybe. Like the appetizer course.
Steve starts chuckling to himself—no off-the-books truth serum needed to get hysterical, not this time—as he tosses himself to lying back down, only then really clocking the cuffs on his wrists and, well.
At least he’s not in a fucking sailor suit.

And this time they’re stupid enough to try to demand a ransom from his family.
So at least he’s going to die on the back of a good fucking joke.
