Il y a une vie après les aventures et tous ces Links avaient laissé ces idioties de quêtes divines derrière eux. Certains se sont mariés et ont des enfants, d’autres trouvent un sens à leur vie dans leur carrière, dans l’exploration ou la reconstruction de leur monde.
Mais voilà que la déesse les rappelle, eux dont le seul point commun – en dehors de leur nom – est de faire partie des chronologies touchées par une corruption qui n’est pas étrangère à certains d’entre eux.
Ils n’ont alors pas d’autre choix que d’apprendre à se battre ensemble, car il n’est pire combattant en équipe que celui qui est habitué à ne compter que sur lui-même. Ils ont vingt-huit jours par époque pour détruire la source de la corruption.
Un mois pour chacun d’entre eux ? Ils sont sept (ou huit ?) et Rule sait qu’il n’a pas autant de temps devant lui. Il accouchera avant la fin de cette quête et ne va pas se priver d’être grossier envers la déesse d’ici là.

As serene night fell in Hateno Village, a baby girl was born to the highest ranking family in the village. An exhausted mother cradling her crying newborn to her chest to allow them to feed, and an enraged father expressing his disgust towards the birth of a girl instead of the boy he wanted to pass down his family’s legacy. The man would approach his wife and express his desire to hide the child's biological sex in lieu of keeping their reputation as the strongest family of warriors in their village.
Without much of a choice, the baby’s mother hesitantly agreed, bestowing the name Link to her child.

It was easy for Zelda's feelings and uneasyness to be dismissed as childlike tantrums. After all, she had it all and yet, there were many reasons for her to be extremely displeased. Her father's expectations (and that of the kingdom which he carried on his tongue) bore impossibly hard on her. Link wished the King would be softer on the Princess. It would make his life much easier, although since he became harsher, coincidentally, Link made a new friend. So, all in all, it might have been worth it.

The weight of that weapon, of which had singed its mark deeply into the palm of his hand, would never leave him. The hushed voices of the scorned spirits resonated within the blade, their whispers lilting and lamenting in his ears.
