In the pit, his boots slipped over shadowed cobblestone. Strange that someone would replace the floor. If they were filling it in, they couldn’t have done more than a single layer because the treacherous hole was just as deep as Martyn remembered.
Martyn poured water over the rocks and had just called up for the Doc to lower a second stream for Martyn to swim up, when a faint dripping noise caught his attention. Water was seeping through the cobblestone into a hollow space. He looked down. Was there something under there? Cocking his head, he pulled out his pickaxe.

Summary
Instead of being pruned Loki is sent back in time, a few years after he had attacked New York and used the tesseract to escape. Ontop of thinking that Mobius is dead Loki must face the consequence of his actions that day. The Avengers had to up their game, recruiting more members including young Peter Parker.
The tensions are high and Loki can't help but feel that he is better off back at the TVA. Or pruned. He's trying his best but he can't help but feel like no matter how much he tries his best to prove he is good, that he's changed, it gets shot down or twisted in some way.
Loki wants to be good. He just hopes that the others can come around.

After the events of New York, everything seemed simple. The Avengers had captured Loki, he would be sent back to Asgard, and all would be well. But things were different than it seemed, and when the truth starts to arise so do conflicts. Because when the truth involves the man who tried to conquer the world, mind control, trauma, and bigger threats beyond anything the Avengers can imagine, disagreements are bound to happen. Disagreements that either leads to justice or even more pain.

Summary
Here's something he's figured out about foresight quirks and time-related quirks;
Nighteye, All Might's brainy, sort of stuck-up sidekick has a foresight quirk but fate is rarely that set in stone. Quirks that temper with time can change the tide in a snap, one activation of a time quirk renders a future vision futile.
Izuku's own quirk, a mutation from gravity-manipulation is just as mysterious as an actual blackhole. The quirk is equal-parts a foresight quirk and a time quirk. Which is why he knows, for a fact, that if he didn't have this, someone will die.
A second year at a work study.
All of it falls into place.
Or: Izuku's quirk is involuntary time travel.
