“Oh, you do like to flirt, don’t you?” Lex accused almost playfully, if not for the sharklike emptiness in his eyes.
Bruce sat back as the appetizer plates were taken away and replaced with the entrée: filet mignon in a mushroom gravy, served with truffles, asparagus, and black garlic potatoes. He couldn’t help but think Clark would have appreciated this. And he desperately wished he was here with him rather than Vicki.
He flashed a playful grin at Lex. “Flirting is what makes the world go round, Lex. What is that quote attributed to Oscar Wilde? ‘Everything in the world is about sex except sex, which is about power’. It applies to everything. Make people think you want them, and you’ve got the whole world in your hands.”
After years of living in the closet, trying to ignore the truth, Bruce is finally cornered and is forced to come out in a very public way. This leads to a series of challenges, blending his public and private life in way he can’t escape.

He’s as beautiful as always, in Aaron’s eyes. Ethereal, almost. Deeply burdened.
Hotch makes his mind up easily then, nodding along as he processes Reid’s distressed rambling and reaching down to start untying his shoes.
It’s only when he stands again and starts to approach the pool that Reid finally looks up, his brows climbing his forehead when he notices Hotch moving to sit beside him.
“What are you doing?” He asks quietly, squinting almost as if he’s suspicious of Hotch’s motive here. Maybe he is. Aaron can be self aware enough to admit this is an uncharacteristic move for him. Spencer tends to bring that out in him.
“Sitting with you,” Hotch replies as if it’s obvious, as if this is at all normal for him.
AKA Spencer has a bad night, and Hotch is there to make it better.

Summary
Somewhere around the middle of season 2 of S&L and then not too long after Superman Red & Blue came out as a trade and I reread a certain issue, I started writing this fic.
It is a mix of comic canon from various comic lines and decades, the shows, cartoons, etc. It tracks the evolution of Clark and Lois' relationship, along with the development of his and Bruce's. Then trails into the events of S:R&B (also back to an old 2 issue story of the 70's World's Finest), until it moves to season 2 of S&L.
There are mentions of events from the animated series, and apparently I anticipated plotlines/scenes that just came out in the comics (this week actually) that happen in my fic.
The main essence of the story is love.
