He rises from the shitty bed he sleeps in, he had called off work (much to Kunikida's dismay) for today. As he got up and stretched, his bones make a sickening pop sound. He scowls at it, getting up and going to his small bathroom.
Dazai stares into the mirror, his bandaged hand snakes up to his neck. Ah... He had slept in his bandages, once again. He sighed, looking around his restroom, eyes landing on a bloodied blade... He touched it, the cold metal slightly rusted and clumped with blood.

Kel was having a... OK day! Since Sunny left Faraway and confessed, that's all his day's have been, Hero was very adamant on not going to see Sunny.. At all. No calling, no hanging out.. Just nothing.
The younger brother hated this, Hero couldn't dictate what he did! He wasn't a kid- Kel was almost seventeen for god's sake!
So, Kel did what anyone would do! He waited until Hero left, went to Aubrey and Basil..
"Hey guyyss!" Kel cheered, getting in the middle of them walking, his arms around both Aubrey's and Basil's shoulders.
"What do you want, nerd?" Aubrey scoffed, though it was mostly playful as she swatted at Kel's arm.
"H-Hey Kel!" Basil stuttered.
Kel rolled his amber eyes at Aubrey, keeping his arm there.
"How would you guys feel abouttt..." Kel trailed off to make suspense. To which Aubrey sighed in annoyance.

Kel really didn't know how he got here-
Holding hands with Sunny, running through the woods, to an unknown destination, just to get away from everything. Sunny's mom wouldn't care, but Hero and Kel's mom certainly would. It was... Freeing, though Sunny dropped out, and Kel just left, the ravenet had a suspicion that some job would hire them.
The two had been planning this, really since they were kids, but Kel didn't expect Sunny to actually want to, the duo had money from a few weeks at Gino's, which paid 10 bucks an hour, not bad.. Enough to get a little crappy apartment. But Kel was content with just being with the ravenet.
It seemed everything was OK with Sunny, no matter what.

Kel stood by Basil's hospital bed, Hero tapped his foot in a endless mantra of a beat, with no real pattern and built from anxiety. Aubrey stood on the other side of Basil, looking at his vitals, her bat slung over her shoulder as she scowled.
The brunet looked out the window, Sunny's room was upstairs, it felt... Wrong, to not be with Sunny after he got his eye taken out, but Kel supposed Basil needed them as well. Everything was going to be okay, they'd go back to being the IT group, even without... Her, but everything would be alright. Basil moved, shuddering, but his baby blue eyes didn't open, just flickering around.
Kel looked back, staying eerily quiet, the beat of Hero's foot, Basil's heartrate, and the air conditioning were the only things to be heard, sometimes footsteps outside the door. But as Kel looked back to the window-

“The name is Boris, by the way,” Boris grinned, taking one of the cigarettes out of the pack. “And you are?”
“Will,” he replied. Boris nodded his head, placing the cigarette in between Will’s lips.
Will froze. He wasn’t expecting that. And he certainly wasn’t expecting Boris to be looking at him so intimately, his dark eyes scanning over. Perhaps he was just being friendly to someone in need.
“Will. Short for William, no?” Boris looks down at his lips and then back up. Will felt like his soul was being stared into, his cheeks beginning to burn up.
“Yeah but,” Will mumbled around the cigarette in his mouth, watching Boris pull out a lighter from his pocket. “No one calls me William. It’s a stupid name.”

Will isn't expecting anything when he moves to California, even less when near all of his friends lose contact with him quick. Then he meets a boy that looks like the friend that he left back in Hawkins and knows that its a bad idea to be anywhere near him. But even bad ideas were better than being apart once he had spoken to the other even once.
Boris moves to Lenora in the months after Theo leaves for New York, and starts high school at Lenora Hills High. There, he meets one Will Byers, and both their worlds change for good.
