Peter pulled open the top drawer. Nothing but a box of .22 ammunition and a stack of magazines. They were thrown about carelessly in the drawer, in the typical Frank fashion. The three covers he could see from the low lighting all sported beautiful women in various degrees of revealing clothing.
Peter snorted softly to himself and peeked back at the empty doorway, checking to make sure Frank was still in the living room. It seemed he fell upon his porn collection. Out of curiosity, Peter reached his hand inside and picked up one of the magazines. He quirked his lip. Penthouse and Playgirl.

The magazine Peter picked up didn’t have a female model on the cover like the others he’d seen. Peter wakes up with yet another new phenotypic spider trait: venom glands and altered canine teeth.
With it comes an unbearable ache; a pain that bleeds into his head and further complicates Peter's sense of identity, testing his strict morality as arachnid instincts fight to display themselves alongside his humanity. It bubbles over when Peter bites someone for the first time, because for a moment, he was sure his venom had killed the man.
Convinced that he has no sane outlet to relieve the throbbing in his gums, Peter isolates himself. Then Frank Castle wedges his way into the situation, and suddenly, there is a... solution. It's weird. Unconventional. Peter wouldn't dare go to anyone else for something like this; he isn't even certain anyone else could handle it. So he keeps finding his way back to Frank for relief. And maybe for the company, too.

It’s not a very far distance to travel. He walks over in silence, steps slow and purposeful, and stops in front of where Peter sits, legs dangling off the edge of the counter. He braces his hands on either side of Peter’s thighs. Then he leans in. Close.
“H…” Peter croaks weakly, clears his throat. There’s a weird, tingly sort of feeling building beneath his sternum, heat threatening his cheeks. “How do I have it backwards?”
Frank holds his unsteady gaze, dark eyes flicking back and forth beneath his low brows.
“You’re the cute one,” he rumbles, tilts his head just slightly. Peter’s heart jumps right into his throat. “Daffodil.”
