“Keith?” he croaks out.
And then he faints.
Our story starts when Lance and Keith wake up after having just survived a terrible crash. As they seek to navigate the landscape, they find out that they have crash-landed on… Earth? Their pods out of commission and their communications bust, Lance and Keith slowly try to make their way to the Garrison, to warn them about the war. If they don’t kill each other first. They might just have to overcome their differences if they want to get back to their team. A story involving theft, late-night conversations and human smuggling, among other things.

Work with the Blade had taken up much of his time and energy over the past few years, leaving him very little time to think of the past… or even the present.
“I have to have my best man at my wedding,” Shiro said over the video chat as Keith maneuvered his way back into the Milky Way Galaxy. He had just passed Pluto earlier and now was gliding by Neptune with its earie blue glow.
“Yes, yes… I know,” Keith sighed, “I’m sorry I haven’t been back… in a long time. The Blade has been keeping me busy… and my Mom and Kolivan have been needing me to support them on some treaties and…”
“And you’ve been avoiding him.”

Everyone is coming back for Shiro's wedding... and what was unsaid four years ago is starting to come back in full force. Lance is going to make sure Keith stays to listen this time.

Summary
Keith accidentally winds up in his future self’s body, who he then has to pretend to actually be because apparently the future is full of clones who will say or do anything to trick Team Voltron. In the future, anyone acting out of the ordinary is a suspect, and Keith can't afford to get his future-self killed by being incompetent. This is only made harder by the fact that he has to pretend to know what it’s like to be a boyfriend, because in the future, he and Lance are dating.
“I’m sorry,” Lance said gently. Keith could feel his words as much as he heard them, Lance’s warm breaths escaping against his lips. “I know you’re better, and I know you don’t like me worrying over you. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” Keith rushed to assure him. Play along, play along, play along. “I know you were just scared,” he guessed. “But you don’t have to be anymore.”
Lance sighed a long, drawn out sigh. “I know,” he said. And then, “I love you.”
Keith’s brain short-circuited. Oh, he thought. And then Lance’s lips were on his, warm and soft.

There was just nothing he could do to entirely quench it, the thirst that dwelled deep inside him, pushed him to consume the life-giving essence, controlled him at his worst moments. And sure there were substitutes, food made specifically with his people in mind. Pouches made to look like Capri Sun and Go-Gurt for the vampire on the go. But it was never enough. Keith thought he would forever suffer, always just on the edge of being too hungry.

Keith used to be a camboy back on Earth.
Not once had anyone made the connection between his online self and his irl self—despite the only real differences being the context, his lack of clothing, and his hair being pulled up. He figured there just wasn't anyone to recognize him, not back at the Garrison, and definitely no where else.
Or rather, he did think that, until one innocuous day during group training when he decided to pull his hair up and Lance immediately freaked out.

A green sock reality where a chance meeting on the Garrison rooftop leads Keith and Lance to becoming friends right off the bat. After Keith gets booted from school they continue to grow closer as Lance aids in his quest to find Shiro. Excerpt:
“Why are you nervous?” asked Lance, which was unfair. He was so nervous himself, but Keith brought it up he got to ask why.
“Because,” said Keith. He was moving in closer. There was little air between them. “When you talk on the phone… but in person…”
When you talk on the phone sometimes you can imagine you hear something in their voice, but only in person you can tell for sure if they feel the same.
“I get that,” said Lance. He hooked his forearms with Keith, getting him to step that little bit closer.
“So you’re… glad? To see me,” said Keith. Lance saw him bite the side of his bottom lip lightly. A nervous gesture Lance caught because he was so focused on Keith’s lips.
“I’ve been wanting to see you for so long,” confessed Lance.
