Summary
Will doesn't answer Mike, he lets the silence linger for a few seconds before he turns slowly, too slowly for it to be natural. He keeps his demeanor flat and idle, trying his best to be unsettling. When he finally turns fully, he meets Mike's worried eyes.
"Uhh, are you okay?" It sounds weak, and he does feel a little guilty, wanting to break character, but he is too far into the bit to back down now.
Quiet but clear enough to be heard, Will opens his mouth, "He likes it cold."
Will couldn't fall asleep, so he goes to the kitchen to get a snack but once he heard Mikes voice from behind him, he decides to pull a silly prank.

Summary
He despises everything about him. It irritates Mike: his voice, his face, his hair, his eyes, nose, clothes, and oh God, don't even get him started on the jokes he makes. They’re so unfunny it physically pains Mike when he hears them, but for some odd and unexplainable reason, Will laughs at them—like an actual genuine laugh. It leaves Mike dumbfounded, because there is no way Will finds him humorous? Even when he tries to be witty, it falls flat every single time. Mike at times does hold back his scoff of disapproval, but other times he doesn't even crack a pity smile. He knows he's being an asshole, but he can't help but act this way, because Car— he isn't fucking funny.

Summary
Will's thoughts come to a harsh halt as Jonathan calls out, walking up next to him, watching him probe at the nail polish. Jon looks at the nail polish then at Will.
"Do you want one?" The question hits him like a bullet. Jonathan knows, can see the craving in Will's eyes. It's a simple innocent question, but to Will it's an accusation. An accusation of the scary reality of who he truly is.
"O-oh n-no, of course not, that's ridiculous. I was just looking, is all… I think they look pretty… I mean cool. No, I don't want… I mean and I'm a boy; boys don't like that stuff… I don't want…. any." Words come out feeble by the end, his eyes wandering everywhere, arms flailing around, the rambled words jumbling together. He was trying his best to sound convincing, but it failed horrendously. When he looks back to Jonathan he freezes. His eyes are soft and gentle, but Will can see the hit of sadness from Will’s words. Will looks down with shame at being caught. For what exactly? For yearning to be himself.

Summary
The issue is how it hugs Will's body so comfortably, can see how it clasps around Will’s waist in such a mouth drooling way it makes Mike's eye twitch a bit. Will looks so soft, so airy and free he's afraid Will might vanish into thin air. Is this real life right now, is all Mike can compute in his mind, his legs buckling, mouth suddenly salivating, and he feels his pupils dilate.

“So,” Will prompts, when Mike still doesn’t offer up any information on the mysterious stack of papers tucked under his arm. “Are you having a party?”
“Oh, no,” Mike says, sounding like it might be the first time ever in his life that he is genuinely disappointed about this fact. He shifts and grabs the stack of flyers, sort of waving them through the air. “These are just for this game I play?” The inflection on the end of what should be a statement makes it sound more like a hesitant question.
“And in this one, you act like you’re… vampires?”
Or: To get out of the sexual rut he’s stuck in, Popular!Will gets dared to ask out Nerd!Mike and ends up attending a Vampire the Masquerade LARP where they proceed to put the ‘role-play’ into ‘live action role-play.’

“Wow,” he replied, squinting at the light. “Nobody thought to wake me?”
It happened casually after that, so casually it almost didn’t register at first. El laughed at something Lucas said, then turned toward Mike and leaned in, instinctively, easily, pressing a kiss to his lips like it was the most logical way to say good morning to him.

Or: Mike and Will have been together for a year and a half when El comes back. The problem is, El assumes she and Mike are still together. The bigger problem is that Mike doesn’t realize Will thinks he might choose her.
