"It's just a cold or flu or something, fuck off." Jason tried to sound snappish, like a dog that was ready to bite, but from the look on Dick's face he must've sounded more like a stubborn kid.
"C'mon, you don't need to be out like this," Dick insisted, staring him down expectantly. "We can go wherever your staying or I can drag you back to the manor."
Jason didn't have any reason to listen to Dick really, he had a couple safehouses he could've made a break for, and yet something in that tone of voice Dick used made him want to, or maybe that was just the fever he may or may not have had talking.
or Jason's not about to skip patrol for something as stupid as being a little sick, but for some reason Dick takes issue with that and the night only gets more confusing from there

Summary
“Jay?” Tim speaks up, the first time Jason’s heard his voice since that morning, his vocabulary seeming to shrink away from the increasing cold outside. At his encouraging hum, Tim continues, “What- what’ll happen if someone catches us here?”
Jason turns his full attention towards his packmate, “Whatever happens, I’ll keep you safe. We’ve found shelter before and we will again, whatever it takes.” Though it’s hardly the first time they’ve found refuge in an abandoned building, it’s not often that Jason actually has to pick the lock. He can’t blame the kid for being nervous.

All Jason and Tim have are each other, their own little pack. In the cold winter nights, they’re not the only ones looking for a place to hide.

Summary
In the seat Maddie was previously in, Eddie’s talking quietly to her brother, their heads bent close over the fire. She can’t really hear what he’s saying over the wind, only catching snippets of gentle syllables. Settled on Buck’s back, Eddie’s hand swipes absently up and down his spine, deft fingers smoothing out the creases of Buck’s robe. He murmurs something, laughing around the words, and Maddie watches as Buck’s cheeks dimple, a small smile tugging his lips upwards.
Swallowing, Maddie clears her throat quietly, crossing the last few paces up to them.
“Hi, you two,” she says, carefully walking around the fire to sit on Buck’s other side.
Buck smiles at her, eyes slow-blinking and droopy. His knee pushes into Eddie’s as he shifts in his place, pulling his sleeves further over his hands.
“Hey, Maddie,” Eddie says, face rosy in the dusky light. “You okay?”

Omegas were generaly smaller and weaker than their alpha and beta counterparts. A pup-heat, more often than not, meant coaxing – calls, trills, gently herding their grown pups towards the nest, as they would be too heavy to heavy to carry when scruffed.
Bruce, as always, was an exception.

“Master Tim, would you like to join us for breakfast?”
And there it was. Tim didn’t turn to look at them, he could feel that Dick and Jason’s eyes were locked on his back. He knew they were glaring. Bruce had stopped typing, probably holding his breath and dreading the day Tim didn’t say no. He hated the silence that stretched every time as they waited for his answer, staring him down, just daring him to accept.
“I can’t tonight, but thank you for the invitation, as always.” He wished he could put a frustrated emphasis on the last two words, but who was he to be rude to Alfred? There was a short pause, then Bruce began typing again. He knew Jason and Dick were now probably looking at each other, relieved.
“Well, the invitation remains open, as always,” replied Alfred.
When the light indicated Tim had reached the surface via one of the Batcave’s back exits, Dick broke the silence that had settled since he left. “So much for him being more willing to stay for breakfast with Jason and I here. We’re zero for who knows how many tries, I’ve lost count.”
OR: The Waynes concoct plans to invite Tim into the pack. Tim schemes up ways to satisfy his need for pack without the Waynes finding out.

“Have you seen me and Hen get sick at the same time in our fifteen years of close friendship working at the 118?” Chimney asked, looking between Buck and Eddie seriously.
Buck’s mouth opened and closed a few times like a fish, his mind blanking on when an event like that occurred in their several years working together. Eddie stared at him helplessly, throwing Buck into the deep end to answer for them, making him grimace.
Scrunching his face together in deep thought, Buck replied more like a question with, “Yes?”
“No!” Chimney barked. Everyone in the circle jumped with fright.
“Weak immune systems?” Eddie tried again, wincing slightly.
“Just get in the truck,” Chimney ordered with immense defeat.
Or; Buck and Eddie are secretly dating, but they both catch a cold at the same time, raising suspicions at work.
