Bruce remembered when he confused this to the Joker, and had said, "pretty crazy, huh?"
Joker had said back, sounding sincere and totally in love with Batman, "not at all. As a dedicated, career-oriented, heroic man, you felt the need to abstain from all amusement and fun."
Bruce had beamed, as embarrassing as it was to admit.
"It's only natural you'd be attracted to a man who could make you laugh again." Joker had continued.
"I knew you'd understand..." Bruce had said.
Joker had given him a gentle smile, "any time."
