Summary
Seven years ago, Gojo Satoru's first husband died unexpectedly. Used and broken, he's barely worth his dowry when his family puts him back on the market. An opportunity to find true love and escape his family presents itself in the form of one strange alpha: Geto Suguru.

“If you’re looking for a partner then…” Satoru struggles with himself and throws his hands up, turning around to give his back to Suguru. “If you want a partner, then I’m not doing that. A partner wouldn’t do that to you.”
Silence for a breath. Or two. Or three.
“Gojo-san—”
“Ack, don’t call me that,” Satoru snaps with a hand scrubbing through the air like he can wipe that name out of existence.
Silence again.
And then gently, “Satoru, then.”
His name has never sounded so soft. Softer than it has any right to be.
Satoru is so caught up that he barely feels the electric static sensation of another living creature standing close behind him. Close enough to touch. Suguru doesn’t.
“I hope that you’ll call me ‘Suguru,’ too.”
“Suguru,” he says with his voice quitting on the first syllable. Clearing his throat, he tries again, “Suguru.”

Summary
Gojo Satoru is newly 23, newly single, newly sober, and newly the father to a troubled four year old.
Satoru was living the high life. If you consider the high life getting high to avoid all of the troubled feelings about his troubled past. But, after the accidental murder of a certain well-known assassin (who just so happened to have a kid)- he has to reevaluate his priorities.
Parenting isn’t easy… especially when the kid doesn’t legally exist, and Satoru has to jump through several not very legal hoops to keep him. Because Megumi is Satoru’s kid now, it’s not like he’s just gonna give him up.
No matter how many jobs he has to take on, or how many times Megumi throws up on his shirt- or how many crime lords he has to deal with- he won't ever give up on this kid. No way in hell.

The man’s face drops and Satoru thinks for a terrifying second that they’ll have to roll him out of this damn cafe in a casket—not that he’d mind that Handsome Guy’s face is the last thing he’d see.
Then, like the goddamn heavens have just split open the sky, an angel's choir meets his ears. Handsome Guy is giggling. Giggling in every sense of the word; eyes squinted and crinkled with joy, hair slipping over his shoulder like an oil spill, a hint of sharp canines behind curved lips. Sure, it’s more of a chuckle but let a man dream.
“Sorry, that was terrible,” Satoru says, with a small, totally cool chuckle of his own. “I’m not usually that bad at pick up lines.”
“Yeah,” Handsome Guy agrees, stepping up to the counter to rest a hand against it and lean across it with a smile. “That was pretty bad.”

Suguru Geto has developed a purpose, a performance of his own, if you will -- to cleanse and rid the music scene in Japan from the poison that threatens to overtake it. It is that precisely that drives him towards Satoru Gojo, a lonesome virtuoso born within the profession, who just so happens to be completely undeterred by the prospect of becoming the newest target to the mysterious murderer.
