Summary
Reki has spent his whole life just trying to survive, too scared to show emotion or cry around the people who made lock it all away. Running away should’ve been easy if it meant freedom—right? But, unfortunately for him (and because I like writing angst), the past isn’t so easy to escape. Taken in by Kaoru and Kojiro, he struggles to accept the care they offer, haunted by the fear that it’ll all be ripped away. As he fights to suppress the pain of his past, his body begins to fail him, and he starts to spiral. But no matter how much he tries to lock it all away, the truth is catching up to him. And when it does, will he finally let himself break—and maybe, just maybe, be saved?
Or: "When I looked in the mirror, I didn't see anything but a “me” staring back. Everything looked normal, my eyes, my face... There wasn't even a trace of what happened. No one will notice. They never do."
Or: Reki runs away from his emotionally and physically abusive house hold and Kojiro (Joe) and Kaoru (Cherry) adopt him.

Summary
They Sk8 gang had gotten close. Although they hadn't really seen each other as of late because of their schedules. They finally could go to S together, but it ended up getting closed for the night. They all decided to have a game night at Kojiro's apartment.
Or: They all play two truths and a lie. They find out about Reki getting hit by a car and beat up in an alley. They also find out what he's been doing to himself.

“Oh Reki, don’t apologize.. you don’t need to apologize. Just-.. what happened?” Langa pulled away, looking into Reki’s eyes with a frown.
This wasn’t supposed to happen, this was never supposed to happen. He wasn’t supposed to find out, he wasn’t supposed to see. Reki’s eyes flickered to the ground, “I-I.. I don’t know.”
Langa sighed, “Please let me help you. I can’t help you if I don’t know what’s happening Reki.. I need to clean you up.” Langa looked at Reki’s wrist, covered in wet crimson blood. His yellow hoodie making it very noticeable, Langa grimaced. He didn’t like blood much, Reki remembered.

Summary
In a world under the protection of amazing heroes, Kyan Reki had dreams of one day becoming a hero himself. The only problem? Superheroes generally have super powers and Reki was about as normal as they come. Still, he wasn't one to let a small issue like that deter him. And when a new student comes to town he finds that he might have more motivation than ever to chase after his dreams.
Meanwhile, Nanjo Kojiro, aka Gorilla Joe, has been Okinawa's primary hero for nearly a decade now. He is everything a superhero should be: kind and strong and never failing to beat the bad guys. However, activity in Okinawa's criminal underground have been ramping up lately and a certain pink haired villain has been making more frequent appearances and consequentially reopening old wounds. Joe finds himself facing tough choices as he tries to figure out who it is that really needs saving.

After their argument in episode 7, Reki and Langa never made up or apologized to each other, their mutual love for skateboarding dimming over the years as their mutual love for each other dissipated as well.
Reki moved to a different class, shutting himself off from the world as Langa kept getting more and more popular, yet never feeling an ounce of happiness unless he saw the redhead in the halls, knowing that he was now unreachable.
However, after all this time of separation and longing, college seems to bring new experiences and old friends, as Reki finds out that his roommate is... WHO?!

Summary
Because Reki’s not enough to provide that kind of a challenge or thrill. He’s only been a milk supply for Langa to feed from to get better, get well again, get into shape again. Now that he is all those things, of course he would leave Reki and reach out for better, more challenging aspects of life. For everything he can have and deserves.
Reki’s ruined himself for him. Created this ache in his body that won’t go away. Has been made into a new, uglier, soiled version of himself to keep Langa close. And it still hadn’t been enough.
So Reki pushed him away before Langa could say it. That he didn’t need Reki anymore. That Adam was so much better than him. That Reki didn’t matter to him anymore.
Or: Reki tries to push Langa away, but fortunately for him, it hardly works out.

However, after accepting a job request from the aquarium, he has an encounter that may change all that. -

Reki needed to say something, anything to keep Adam from leaving. “I-I’ll sell my body to you!” he shouted, though he immediately regretted his words. However, Adam did stop in his tracks and glanced over his shoulder. Now that he got his attention, Reki was about to say it was a joke but Adam spoke first.
“How much?” He asked.
Langa is in love with Reki, thus he wants to confess his feelings. Reki is having a skating block, thus he wants to (against his better judgement) ask Adam for advice. Adam is sorting through some of his feelings, but some emotional scars are too deep to close even with Langa’s encouraging words about skating. Their lives will change one night in S when, after a race between Cherry and Adam, Reki follows after him and desperate for any help, offers Ainosuke a ridiculous (but tempting) deal: his body. Old feelings resurface, bad intentions lurk around Adam and Reki and a missed opportunity leads a young man on a dangerous path.

Reki was born with fire powers-- he was lucky in that area. He was not that lucky, however, because his body physically could not handle him using his powers above a certain level. Even despite his exceptional control. However, after a chance encounter with Langa Hasegawa on the streets-- and later again in his school made to channel student's powers-- it seemed like his luck was turning around.
Little did he know, trouble can find you anywhere. Whether it be in your best friend's past, the lives of your teachers, or within yourself-- and the ability you may not realize you have.
May the flames light up your path-- and guide those around you.
