“Xisuma.” Ex said flatly, and he jumped.
“Oh, Ex! I was just about to head in — gotta run the farms one more hour.”
“You look like you’re freezing. Nobody’s supposed to be out right now — it’s too cold.”
“I’m not out, I—” X glanced over at where Ex was shivering in the doorway and sighed. His shoulders slumped. “I know… let’s go home.”

Summary
It was when they’d finally made it to their destination that X began to feel uneasy. This place was supposed to be a main shipping hub for the group and yet they hadn’t seen or heard anyone. X started to reach out for the doorhandle and froze.
“Joe… does something feel off to you?” He asked.
“Honestly, none of this has felt right since we found that folder in the abandoned ship.” Joe said. “No one capable of running this would list all their flight routes in one spot like that, it’s just too sloppy. I was going to say something, but… I figured I was just being paranoid.”
X grit his teeth.
“Let’s — Let’s just get what we need and go. Quickly.”
X turned the doorknob and an alarm started blaring. He immediately tried to yank the door open, but it wouldn’t budge. He tried it twice more, before deciding it was a lost cause.
“We need to leave!” X hissed, and Joe nodded.
They turned, ready to run back to their drop-pod, only to freeze when they noticed the line-up of guards between them and their escape route. Oh great — Their enemies already knew they were here.

Summary
He quickly grabbed his rockets from a chest by the door and flew to his portal, mining himself into one of Ex’s traveling tunnels and flying out to their home. By the time he got there his comm had buzzed no less than three times, and his heart was racing at the thought of whatever could make Hels go out of his way to ask for help in this manner. He threw open the front door without knocking, hearing Hels unsheathe his sword across the room. Hels wings were splayed out, blocking any sight to whatever was behind him.
“Just me!” Wels called out, watching Hels slowly lower his sword before turning back to the shape crammed into a corner behind a table. His wings folded against his back again, feathers still ruffled. Wels rushed forwards when his brain finally identified the cowering form as Ex, watching Hels put his sword away so he could reach out to them.

When X made it to the kitchen he stopped, looking around. There was absolutely no sound in the ship other than the hiss of air coming out of the vents. …where was everyone?
“Hello?” He called out. No response.
He slowly made his way to the control room. He didn’t see anyone on his way there, but quickly noticed the flashing of the boarding ramp’s indicator. …they’d stopped? All the way out here? What in the world were they boarding? He groaned softly and started for the ramp. It was extended when he got there, sealed to the open door of what looked to be another ship. He hurried back to the living room and gawked at what he saw in the window. There was a giant ship floating next to them. None of the lights were on. Had this… just been drifting here? And for how long? He returned to board the drifting ship, shuddering when he crossed the threshold. He swore it was already colder.
He turned on the flashlight on his wrist and began walking, looking around for the others. The hall split off in two ways ahead of him. He took the left path, sticking near the large windows. He could see the Hermits’ ship from here. He glanced through the lit windows but didn’t see his friends. They had to be here somewhere…

Summary
The Redstone Institute is the leading scientific institute in the universe, despite its unusually small size. Grian, the head of the Redstone Institute Ethical Department (RIED), is also his department's only employee. His job is to ensure all researchers within the Institute don't accidentally commit atrocities while they work on their projects. The job would be a lot easier if he wasn't supervising the least ethical scientists in the universe. Some of them didn't seem to understand the concept of ethics, while others simply didn't care. Between Cub, Mumbo, Zedaph, and... honestly all of his coworkers, Grian is almost never having a good day at work.

“Sorry, bud. It’s going to be a hm… a bit of a pickle to keep me alive.” Grace chuckles.
“Eridians build whatever Grace needs." Rocky chirps. ”Food that taste good and other stupid needs. Grace no worry. Stay alive and happy, Rocky make sure.”
Grace nods, but that familiar fear is creeping up on him. The one that visits him when his head hits the pillow, that makes him feel like he's just stalling the inevitable. It's silly.
All he has to do is not starve on the way to Erid. Then he'll be the only human on the planet. For the rest of his life. Which is not scary at all.

Grace is too late rescuing Rocky. When he finds the Blip-A again, Rocky is already gone, so Grace does the only thing he can think of, and he takes Taumeoba-82.5 to Erid himself. If he can't save Rocky, well, he might as well make sure his death wasn't in vain.
He's sick, starving, and has no Eridian native to introduce him, but he's going to save Rocky's planet no matter what. After that... he supposes all that's left is for him to die. He's nearly out of food and Yao's gun is still tucked away safely in the Hail Mary's storage.
