Summary
At what point does fantasy start becoming reality? Unfortunately for this person, the answer to this is comically impossible to answer. Follow along as our main homegirl Luzer goes on a journey of a lifetime, a journey that hopefully no one else would ever have to make.
Let me backtrack- imagine living your life as you usually do, only to have that all whisked away as you're plopped into a seemingly impossible world, where the only plausible answer is severe head trauma or very, very bad luck. Our Isekai will have to learn how to live life from scratch, throwing just about everything they know about how life works out the window, so to speak. Everything that can happen, probably will happen at some point, but that's ok because at least this new wild world has an excellent support system. Beware the angst, this is mostly an outlet for me to express my emotions, so don't be surprised when Luzer has yet another meltdown. Oh, and to answer your question, yes Luzer is very much a self-insert, so sue me!

Tish looks confused. You are confused. Reth is still rambling and your brain is struggling to keep up. Is he dating someone? It kind of feels like you’re having a heart attack. Is this a heart attack?
While you assess your situation, you notice Tish looking between you two before she puts her hands up to her mouth.
“Of course,” She breathes in an almost whisper. “Oh of course! I should’ve known,”

UPDATED Summary: I originally started writing this as a "series", and it seems to have turned into a semi full-fledged story. HOWEVER, this will also still be treated as a "series" from time to time. Reth and an original character (Kate) are developing feelings for one another. Could this be love? This will be the details of a human who manifested out of nowhere, and became drawn to the local chef at the Kilima Valley Inn. He struggles a lot with his self-loathing, and some pretty serious baggage. Will she stay with him through the ups and downs, or will it have all been for nothing?

Their relationship flourishes despite close calls, Reth’s chronic self-doubt, and Star’s ignorance of Palian culture.
Even if Star didn’t have a choice in arriving in Kilima, and Reth didn’t see a future for himself past helping Tish, maybe they’re exactly what each other needs to finally feel at home.
