You weren't sleeping well, you wanted to cry, but not with Grim here. While in bed, the situation had hit you, and dread was bubbling in your gut. You didn't even want to be here, yet you were stuck. Stuck in a school full of boys, with you being the only female. You've heard fictional stories talking about being the only girl in the world, and that's what it felt like. Hell, this school was your world. You knew nothing outside of it.
Your last thought before falling into slumber was 'Even if I held my guard up, would that be enough to protect myself?'
The twisted Wonderland story reimagined if the MC were a female, and if it was actually acknowledged.

You are a researcher for S.T.Y.X, but after an explosion during one of your experiments causing your boss's son's prized figure to fall off a shelf and break you were transferred off of the Isle of Woe. Thankfully you boss was nice enough to set you up with a nice apartment.
The downside though is you apartment is stuck in the middle between two groups of neighbors that fight. A lot. Well two of them fight, one tries to calm everyone down and the other eggs them on. You had managed to avoid all of them until one night. Now none of them will leave you alone.
At least they feed you.

“Marco!” The Thatch of his dreams slammed his fist on the door again. Cruel, too cruel. Marco’s knuckles went white with how hard he was clutching the pillow, feeling the fabric tearing under his grip.
Another knock, obnoxiously loud. Marco wanted to scream. He wanted to scream and cry and tell him to get the fuck away, to just stop! He wanted it all to stop! He knew he’d fucked up! He knew it already! Why the hell did they have to keep tormenting him!? This means that death walks quite unnoticed these days. He gets you a drink at the bar, she asks you for one more dance, they ride in the back of your carriage, they pass you on the way to work. She lets her hair down in alleyway, because the stupid fucking bobby pin keeps poking her ear and she just might bite the next person who speaks to her if she doesn't fix it right now.
