It’s hard playing in the NHL, being surrounded by guys who you know will look at you differently if they ever find out the truth, but he’s tried his best to be a good teammate, and a good room mate to Fitzgerald. Perhaps he hasn't tried hard enough?

Arber had thought a lot of things about Cole were cute, like the way he smiled and how bashful he got at little things.
But then, they were the only two who stayed late after morning practice. The buildup of stolen looks and sweet smiles just for the two of them had come to fruition. Cole’s lips were soft under his own and Arber was entirely in charge of things until he wasn't. Until Cole unexpectedly taking the reins by force was the hottest thing that’d ever happened to him. Trevor’s okay, or at least that’s what he keeps telling himself. He’s doing just fine, not that anyone had asked in awhile. Well, that’s not entirely true – Jamie had called to check in, but that doesn’t count, Jamie’s not his teammate anymore. Trevor doesn’t deserve to feel not okay. He’s an NHL player, and he’s living in California, isn’t that all he’s ever wanted? It was. This definitely used to be the dream, but somewhere along the line reality came crashing down and now he just feels numb.
Basically, Trevor and Jack finally figure it out, it just takes a bit of time! Also wrote this while listening to Phoebe Bridgers do not recommend.
