Summary
When David went exploring with his friends, he figured they might come across some old ruins or maybe even fight a few monsters. He never expected that he'd wind up captured by an orc and turned into his pet; he expected even less that he'd actually like it. It all started when he was sitting in a jail cell, so desperate to escape that he agreed to trial by combat: The Ritual of Steel & Thunder. He opens the fight strong, but when his competitor manages to overpower him, things start to heat up and he realizes he may have signed on for more than he bargained for.
Captain Khazak Ironstorm is the orc ranger responsible for David's arrest—and after defeating him in combat, his new owner. Initially amused by his slave's antics, something deeper begins to grow between them—something dark that draws Khazak in as much as it troubles him. More confounding than that are the feats of agility and speed his new pet seems able to perform as if they were nothing. What he does know is that if there is anyone capable of taming this barbaric human's behavior, it's him.

Summary
After the War of Verdant Splendor, orcs have been conquered and enslaved by the elves. This story follows Princess Kailana’Alise te Daveniir, or Kailana, as she deals with the extreme boredom that comes when every whim, want, and worry has been satiated, when every debaucherous, hedonistic fantasy is at one's fingertips. She and her brother, Prince Avad'Daveniir te Daveniir, and her mother, Queen Rae'Alise te Daveniir navigate this new world where there's nothing left to do, no enemies left to conquer, no goals to strive for, and the utterly perverse depravity that ultimate power over a subservient race brings.
The lore of this world will be fleshed out in small hints here and there, but the big thing to keep in mind is that the orcs are a mono-sex species that bear traits of both male and female, but almost exclusively will be referred to as "it/its" or occasionally "they/them", while elves are much more genderfluid and constantly transmute their bodies to live as multiple genders and sexes throughout their lives.
Humans and Dwarves (and others) are also there.

After further attacks and a desperate flight, they find temporary sanctuary with Círdan at the Havens of Sirion. Maeglin confesses the full extent of Morgoth's manipulation and his own guilt in Gondolin's fall to Círdan, who offers understanding.
