Summary
His own hands ached and burned as Wild brought them around himself.
Back in the darkness and emptiness of his room, left all alone, Wild yearned for the soft touch from the others. Of Time's warm and reassuring hugs, of Warriors' extremely careful hand holding, of Twilight's firm shoulder to tuck his head against, and of Sky's sleepy embraces.
Sure, Hyrule gave him what he wanted, but the satisfaction of the tender touch had been tainted by Hyrule's concern, that Wild didn't like it anymore.
His cold fingers stung across his skin as he slid them around his torso. If he squeezed tight enough, and closed his eyes, then it really did feel like a hug.
He liked to imagine it was Twilight's, as he always hold him that way, his firm touch on Wild's upper back, offering the support his sickly, frail body desperately cried for. And so, Wild slowly sank to the bed, grasping to the nearby pillow and resting his head on it, arms wrapped around the pillowcase with eased familiarity.
OR
Wild wakes up sick one day. It's all his fault, and doesn't deserve any help, so he tries to keep it a secret.

Summary
That was how it always was, an abhorrent game of waiting, waiting for her to return, for Warriors to have to force himself back in that small space in the back of his mind, one that he coward and hid behind.
But now, for these few moments, he relished the pureness of reality, of feeling life for what it was.
For feeling his cold breath land on his quivering lip. For those cold, dry tears to run down his face. For his body to end it's trembling, for the creeping, churning nausea in his stomach to end. For his pounding, racing heart to slow, heavy against his qualming, and sickening paranoia, that any second, right now, right at his moment, she'd come back in, to the makeshift, fragile safe haven he had crafted with his own desperate hands.
OR
Warriors had acquiesced far too many times, until once, he didn't.

"Let me see it?" Sky smiled, shaking his head. He wanted to help, and though Sky wasn't a very resilient or determined person like a few of his brothers, he at least knew that he didn't want to give up just yet- Especially when he hasn't even tried yet.

Summary
It was an impromptu visit to Clock Town that started it all. Held amidst a Carnival held annually, Time seized it as the prefect opportunity to coincidentally disguise his true motives under an ostensible family trip.
It would be quick work. It should be quick work. Time only needed three days. He only needed three days to bring in the closure that he yearned for so desperately, for both him, and for those he had failed. To finally move on from his grave mistakes.
Though, as the cycle never ends, Time tries to keep secrets hidden, cryptic realities covered, and lives protected.
All as they descend closer to the truth, and into madness.
After all, this is Time's Carnival, isn't it?
