After Marietta reveals Dumbledore's Army, Fudge and Umbridge try to figure out who to blame for it all - Harry Potter or Albus Dumbledore. So McGonaggal suggests watching some of Harry's most important memories to see for themselves, only she hopes it would reveal the truth about Voldemort before anyone gets in trouble.
Naturally, the entire school watches right along with them, and Madam Bones is invited to attend as well in the hopes of leaving things neutral.

They watch the Harry Potter books... but not everything - it's a fun project I decided to start and it's not going to be too long. Also, it won't move past the fifth book, since... they haven't been through any more adventures yet. Hope you like it :)
(PS - I was obviously wrong, this is going to be super long, for some reason.)
(Another PS - this might show a couple of scenes from after the fifth book if I decide to add a bonus chapter. We'll see.)

The war against Voldemort is going badly. Thankfully, Chiron has taken pity on Albus and Wizarding Britain, and has agreed to send over some of their greatest heroes to help them. After all, compared to their earlier adventures, this is essentially an all-expenses paid for vacation, right?
But Albus knows that even within his precious Order, there is bigotry and prejudice abound. Without a solid understanding of the heroes' backgrounds, many of his people would reject the necessary help of these heroes. The only way to get them to listen will be to understand their experiences, their world, their society.
AKA: a 'Harry Potter reads the Percy Jackson Books' fic, in tribute to the many, many unfinished works of this concept on fanfiction.net. I'm hoping to complete the series, and if I'm getting even more ambitious, to do a parallel 'Percy Jackson reads Harry Potter' sub-series - and maybe an actual story of the two groups coming together to defeat Voldemort.

Will looks back up. “So what are you saying?”
Mike’s chest tightens. This is it. The place where he either steps back—or finally names the truth.
“I’m saying I need something to change,” he says. “Or I’m going to break.”
The words hang there, bare and undeniable.
Will’s eyes flicker. “I don’t know if I can give you what you’re asking for. Not yet.”
Mike nods. He’d known this answer was possible. Knowing doesn’t make it hurt less. It reminds him of the same words he said in that coffee shop three years ago.OR: A post-canon, slow-burn Byler story about growing up unevenly, loving at the wrong time, and finding your way back to each other once you’ve learned how to stay.

Will knocked one more time but ultimately gave up. There was no point. It was just a waste. He turned around and headed to the stairs.
“Will?” He heard Mike’s voice behind him. Will turned around to see Mike rubbing his eyes and barely standing up straight. He was holding the wall to keep himself straight.
“Shit, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have knocked. Go back to bed, I’m sorry,” Will repeatedly apologized. “What, no, it’s okay,” Mike hummed in response. “I shouldn’t have woken you,” Will kept apologizing. “Will, please come here,” Mike pleaded. Will froze in place. He’d never heard that tone from him; it made his face heat up, and he was begging Mike not to notice.
Or:
Hawkins is snowed in for a week, and Will has nightmares that only sharing a room with Mike can fix.
One week in a room every night together won't change anything, will it?
