Summary
There are three things Will and Mike learn on a random afternoon after high school graduation:
- Teen magazine quizzes are way more intense than expected.
- They are wildly unprepared for college.
- Taking advice from anonymous “fever confessions” is a terrible idea.Unfortunately, they only realize the third one after they’ve already started acting on the first two.
Or:
Will and Mike accidentally read a very inappropriate teen magazine and decide the best way to prepare for college is to practice being less inexperienced… on each other.

Summary
“I mean, it’s like when you flip a coin to make a decision. You think you don’t know what you want, but the moment the coin is in the air, suddenly you know exactly what you’re hoping it lands on.”
“So, what were you hoping it landed on?”
“You.” Will says quietly, then abruptly clears his throat. “I mean, what I’m trying to say is— I’m… glad. That fate put us together.”

A compatibility survey pairs Mike and Will together as college roommates. It goes as well as can be expected.

Summary
“I’ll show you ‘stranger’,” Mike announces then before turning his entire body fully towards Will. He carefully reaches out to rest a hand on Will’s shoulder, spinning him on his bar stool until he properly faces Mike as well. Then, his palm travels to Will’s chin which he holds carefully, using his touch to tilt his head up.
What is happening?
Will’s heart nearly leaps out of his chest when Mike tilts his head higher and higher until their faces are lined up, and then Mike leans down.
Now, Will’s heart stops.
“Tell me stop,” Mike whispers as he leans in, more and more until they breathe the same air. His eyes stay locked on Will’s wide ones, studying him thoroughly as if he’s as easy to read as a book.
Knots of anticipation pull taut in Will’s gut. Is this really happening? He’s dreaming, right? He has to be. This is a joke. There’s no way that Mike is really going to —
OR:
Five times Mike kisses Will to help him, and one time he kisses him because he simply wants to.
