Summary
Two months of long-distance has turned Mike and Will’s letters into a lifeline. But when Jane accidentally mails a letter containing Will’s private fantasies, the distance between Hawkins and Lenora officially catches fire.
What follows is an escalation of provocative Polaroids, a "ruined" letter, and an oversized Hellfire shirt that smells like home. Across a 1,500-mile phone line, the metaphors of "cleric and paladin" are finally stripped away, replaced by raw hunger and a promise: when Mike gets to California, he’s going to mark every inch of Will's skin.

Summary
The relationship between Mike Wheeler and Will Byers has always been something of an oddity.
If Mike is a bit too handsy while the party tries to enjoy a movie night, a stare or two may be thrown their way, but never are they questioned to any degree. This is how they have always been, uniquely bonded Mike and Will.
Dustin may have his internal questions, like, why is Mike being handsy with Will instead of his beautiful girlfriend whom he seems so intent on staying with when she's right there? Why doesn't Will think twice about the hands touching his waist, or the arm around him at all moments?
These questions will come and go just as fast, never to be said aloud.
That is, until now.
----------------
Faced with evidence that Mike has been neglecting his sister in favor of spoiling him after nearly losing him to the upside down, Will makes it his mission to fix the relationship between Mike and El, stepping aside, and denying the care Mike tries to show him.
Mike is, decidedly, not a fan.Bookmarked by Paddington1990

Summary
“Okay,” Mike said slowly, trying to keep his voice calm, “we’ll figure it out step by step. No pressure. I’ll… I’ll help you practice control, see how far you can go without, you know, frying the house.”
Will peeked up at him, just enough to see the shy smile tugging at Mike’s lips. “I… I don’t even know if that’ll work,” he admitted, voice soft. “What if it doesn’t? What if it just keeps happening?”
Mike shook his head firmly. “It will work. And if it doesn't, we’ll find something else. We always do.”
Will’s lips quirked in the faintest hint of a smile. “You’re right. We always do.”
Mike leaned forward, careful not to crowd him, “First we need to try to find a way to turn the lights back on. Reverse what you did. Do you think you can–” He gestures towards Will’s crotch, a blush crossing his cheeks, “--Go again?”OR: Will finds himself unable to control his new powers when he gets aroused. Every time he gets "excited," strange things happen with the power. He tries to convince himself it's a coincidence, but when he finishes, and the power goes completely out, he begins to panic.
His panic takes him straight to Mike's window, and Mike offers a helping hand. In a best friend way, of course.Bookmarked by Paddington1990

Summary
1. Hawkins is still a shithole, instead of the upside-down, it’s just currently one hundred degrees (thirty seven in Celsius for my European ass) with a one hundred percent chance of repressed sexual tension.
2. Mike Wheeler is wearing a sailor hat and despises Max Mayfield.
3. Will Byers is drawing things on napkins that would give his mother a heart attack and his therapist a career. While he is on the job, mind you.
4. Dustin is receiving the worst romance advice in the history of the Midwest.
5. Everyone is either horny, high or just a straight up a little shit. But atleast they’re employed!
or: It’s the summer of '89 and everyone is behaving like they have exactly one (1) shared brain cell. It’s a retail war. It’s a disaster. And the only thing Mike and Will are successfully maintaining is a state of constant, mutual arousal.

Summary
In 1990s New York, Mike and Will build a life out of shared moments and the quiet gravity of everything they’ve outrun, but closeness has a way of blurring into something else. Mike writes about sacrifice while Will paints about absence, neither realizing they are telling the same story.
As Mike struggles to let go of his role as a protector, Will learns to stand in his own sunlight, leaving them both lost in the ache of everything they haven't said.
OR:
Mike believes in duty.
Will believes in something softer.Bookmarked by Paddington1990
