Summary
Ed is an engineer aboard the Revenge, an interplanetary research vessel on a multi-year mission to study Jupiter's moon Europa. An accident requires that Ed awaken from cryostasis over six months early, and finds his only companion to be Stede, the ship's onboard AI. They develop an unconventional friendship, but is it possible to have more?
This is classic mutual pining with a sci-fi twist, inspired by all of my favorite stories about the nature of personhood.

“You–” Ed was struggling to parse what Stede was saying. “You’re playing your version of this song for me, right now? Like, in real time?”“Yes, Edward, that’s correct,” said Stede softly.
Ed’s brain momentarily seized up. He supposed it made sense that Stede was capable of learning a set of rules to do something like arrange and play a piece of music. There was something unnerving about this song, though. It felt, well–it felt organic . Reactive. Almost collaborative in a way. Ed was lost in the push and pull of it, until the last notes softly petered out.
“So, what did you think?” asked Stede. It sounded nervous again. Why the hell would someone program an anxiety response into a bot?

When Crowley is given the chance at a human life (birth to death, family, Free Will, the whole thing) he takes it. He does this, in part, to protect Aziraphale from being forced to take the same opportunity against his will.
However, once Crowley is off on this metaphysical adventure, Aziraphale follows after him, retaining his memories but becoming human himself so that he can watch over his friend.
Now the two of them are growing up together, one ignorant of their true forms and one all too aware of the strangeness of their situation.
Before it's over, the series will follow the two of them through childhood and into adulthood, eventually becoming romantic.

Bilbo Baggins did not go running out his door for want of an adventure, he went running out his door because of a terribly worded contract and a laughable quest that somehow held the spark of other.
In this story, it is not the Tooks that held fae blood in their family tree, it is the Baggins, and theirs is so much closer to the surface.- Language:

The angel’s confident facade comes apart at the seams after they move to the South Downs, as he struggles to cope with new-found freedom while still keeping his past a secret.
With the future of their relationship soon hanging in the balance, Crowley must find a way to convince Aziraphale that he is a safe pair of hands to collapse into – and that they can rebuild things from the ground up.

The cloth merchants, the weavers, the jewelers, and other craftspeople compete to see who can find the perfect look for their queen-to-be.

They were drunk when they made the bet but they’re all nerdier when they drink so they wrote an in-depth contract on napkins that Foggy carefully transcribed into a notebook the next morning when Matt woke up and agreed from a nest of blankets that he refused to emerge from that it was still on. The pool of money that they put together from digging around in their pockets and wallets and Marci’s purse, totaling $68.25, goes to the person who goes the longest without getting off: whether by their own hand or somebody else’s.
It makes less sense once Marci’s out and the coffee finally kicks in but they’re both competitive and poor and neither of them wants to back out first.
“You know, I perfected not having sex with anybody in high school,” Foggy says, when they’re walking back to their dorm later that afternoon. “I’m not really worried about this.”
“I didn’t jerk off until I was seventeen,” Matt says, far too serenely considering he just said something that makes Foggy stop in his tracks, almost knocking them both over since Matt’s hand was holding his elbow.
“Seventeen?” he asks.
“Yep,” Matt says, smirking a little.
