He flicked his tail, moving at speed as he tried to figure out what was going on. Had someone mistaken him for a large fish again and was trying to catch dinner? Was someone throwing rocks? Was there a landslide? Was-
There was a man.
His eyes were closed, his legs tucked to his chest and his arms tied behind his back with rope, the same rope that was pinning down a large pair of white wings. He was sinking quickly, his heavy clothes filled with water and- rocks. There were large rocks dragging him down, silvery grey and surprisingly not matching in colour to the rocks embedded in the river walls.

Summary
He drove carefully to his boyfriend's house, checking himself in his pocket mirror before leaving the car. He had to make sure there wasn't a hair out of place or a speck of dirt on his shoe. Nothing that could give him a disadvantage in their little game.
He rang the doorbell, waiting patiently for Scott to answer the door. He didn't have his own key, despite dating for almost three years. Time meant different things when they were both as old as they were, and a key would give Mumbo a form of ownership over the house and that would be much less fun.

Scott was old. He'd been old since before the oceans teemed with life and before the mountains towered in such high peaks. He still found himself surprised sometimes at the colour and the life and the beauty that the world had grown into throughout his time walking its blocks. He never got bored of wandering. Every time he started thinking that he was starting to get too old, too tired, ready to fade, something would change. New life would emerge, new inventions would be discovered and new adventures begun.

Summary
The gentle ringing of the bell above the coffee shop door was one of Tango's favourite long term spells. It sounds stupid, but the thing used to make such an obnoxious sound that he and every other person in the shop winced every time someone entered. At one point he'd considered throwing out the entire thing - possibly stamping on it a few times as well - but the issue with running a magical coffee shop was that it was fairly common for all the workers to be out the back, brewing potions or doing the seemingly endless amount of dishes. They needed to know when a customer appeared so they could serve them.
A bit of rosemary, lotus seed, and magic, and now it was pleasant to hear.

“I can't do this. What was I thinking. Nope.” Jimmy ranted, his wings so tense that Scott was surprised that he was managing to pace as violently as he was, especially with his balance already shot from growing the damn things. “I can't do this.”
“Yes you can,” Grian said for the fourth time, not even looking up from his communicator screen. He was lounging on the sofa, lying propped up on his front with one wing folded against the cushions while the other one spilled across the floor.

Scott sighs, picking at the fabric of the beanbag. “Are you—you’re doing okay? With the play, with our storyline?” he asks, something achingly earnest in his voice.
Pearl blinks. That… was not what she was expecting. Still, she supposes it makes sense. In real life, Scott is the best QPP Pearl could ask for, and she can’t imagine anyone she’s closer to, or anyone she’d rather give such a role in her life. In the play, though… well, in the play, Pearl and Scott hate each other, to put it bluntly. -
